    Muuuuuussssstttt resist!

    • +2

android god will lend his power to help you resist

      • Where was the Android God when I held out for 6 months waiting for my Samsung Note 7?

        • HE is with Samsung Note 6.

  • You will have to pay GST on the 128GB model right?

    • Most likely. I remember for Dick Smith they would ship iPhones that are 1000+ from within Australia, while the cheaper iPhones would be shipped from HK.

    • I dont think so, correct me if im wrong but as long the goods itself is not above $1000 AUD shipment is not included for the threshold.
      Example given:
Item value of $999 AUD + $100 shipping = No GST or Duty
Item value of $1001 AUD + $50 shipping = GST and duty applied to total value of $1051 AUD

In our case the item cost $975 after the discount.

      • Its weird getting charged for shipping when it is supposed to be free based on their posting and handling fee information

      • The invoice will have the pre-ebay discounted price.

        • In that case, can we just show the custom the Ebay Receipt for this item? Im not sure what is the procedure in such cases.

        • @yanivsr: Haven't encountered the problem myself since I always stay below $1000 AUD. Won't matter in 6 months though. I'll probably stop importing things unless a price is a steal. It also means Kogan is out, for me. Not just Kogan but all grey importers including Shopping Square, DWI, Gearbest, etc.

        • @lostn:
Sorry for the ignorance but will happen in 6 months from now?

        • @yanivsr: The $1000 threshold for tax free imports will be gone. You're going to be taxed on every import, though I'm not sure how easy this will be to enforce. The big players like Amazon, ebay, Steam, PSN, etc will collect GST for Canberra (Which goes to the states) as they already do, but little obscure retailers, who knows.

        • @lostn:
Wow, these are really bad news, hope that this plan will be cancelled/ postponed.

        • @yanivsr: It won't. It was passed when Joe Hockey was treasurer and agreed upon by all state premiers. We're not going back. They don't get anything from canceling the bill, now that it's passed.

        • @lostn:

Yeah, but it will cost them more money to enforce this decision than the additional Tax which they can gain from it.
Also, i dont think that all the suppliers / companies will agree to register and charge the customers for GST so it wont be possible to enforce it.

@yanivsr: Not all will. The major retailers will be expected to or the aust govt will make it unlawful to sell stuff to us.

If they want to sell things to us, they've got to play by our rules. The big guys won't risk it. Amazon already takes your import duties, as does ebay if you exceed the threshold.

  • Do they have iPhone 7 Plus on sale?

    • Unfortunately not.
I have searched through all the stores on both 20% off offers and was unsuccessful in finding a 7 plus

      • Want iPhone 7plus ….Happy with 32gb if it gets it below the $1000 threshold …..

        • me too.

    ok

  • Can these be used for all carriers in oz?

    • +1

in fact for better reception, Au stock uses Intel wireless chipset while international stock mainly Qualcomm's which is much better for low signal areas

  • The invoiced amount including delivery for a 128GB iPhone 7, after applying the code, turned out to be $1014.15. My question iis - is this amount GST inclusive and I will be provided a tax invoice from eBay Australia for GST refund (on overseas travel)? If not, I noticed another deal which costs $1140 but with tax invoice and 2 years warranty! It may well worth the additional $20+ after GST refund.

    • that deal is low in stock…sadly..

    • This is Australian company with ABN so i think that GST is inclusive:

      • For those who may be interested in this issue - I checked the company's invoices on my previous purchases (of minor items posted from overseas, e.g.memory cards, etc.), the tax (GST) amount indicated were all "0".

  • Was hoping for a decent price on 64GB iPhone SE but looks like they have jacked the shipping to offset the discount code. Works out around the standard sale price for grey import;

    64GB model
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-iPhone-SE-64GB-LTE-4G-4-inc…?
    $38.95 shipping

    16GB model
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-iPhone-SE-16GB-LTE-4G-4-inc…?
    FREE shipping

    • I have ordered the Iphone 7 128GB, the discount code gave me $243.80 discount which is much more than the $40 shipping fee.
In total Ive paid $1,014 including shipping, currently i cant find alternative on the market for brand new Iphone 7 128GB in this price range.

      • The model I am looking for 'SE 64GB' is cheaper new from other ebay sellers with 0% discount than from Shopping Square with 20% discount.

Yes that iPhone 7 is $85.60 cheaper than Aussie stock however if your package is stopped by customs you will end up paying more.

  • Can someone please confirm they bought from this offer and the postage was free. When I confirm purchase in eBay it shows about $34 for postage.
