For the code to work, you must be logged into PayPal when making payment.

eBay does this to make sure its little brother will make a profit from sellers as well.

  • When searching using the "go to deal" link it seems to default to items in Australia. Might just be my phone however I discovered way more items but selecting worldwide items.

  • Pretty gutted to see Sydneytec jack up the price of the Edifier r2000db from $288 to $342 since this deal went live. I was going to get a pair but ~$14 off their original price leaves me feeling a bit sour..

Harvey Norman eBay doesn't sell white goods, find it weird they now sell sport equipment, shoes, toys, and baby things.

    • Sounds like they're using eBay to sell stuff from their Big Buys website that only a few seem to know about and buy from.

    • Really wanted a Dyson on sale….

Its funny in the last 3 pages of comments all I read is how this sale is a fraud, yet the upvotes is at 492 with no negs.

I have checked the prices of the things I wanna buy and yes, it is more expensive than other websites, so no, this is not a deal. Let me be the first to neg

    • Exactly my thoughts too

      Reason for neg?

    • +4

      Seriously. Read the voting guidelines.
This isn't youtube where the negative vote is a dislike button.
The negative vote is meant to highlight major issues with the deal, not a personal "I don't like the deal" button.
      READ THE GUIDELINES
Goddamn the misuse of the negative vote button is out of control these days.

      • -4

Major issue is it's not site wide NEG VOTE +2

        • +1

How is that a major issue?
Do you complain to customer service at woolworths that one item is half price in the catalogue, that the discount does not apply store-wide..?
          Serious misuse of neg vote!

          just make it site wide

TheClipIt is not an ebay rep, nor does he control the promotions. He kindly found the promotion for us before it was released with undisclosed methods.

        • -3

          @cwongtech:

In this case though it's not a Woolworths Catalogue…Ebay is a marketplace full of multiple Sellers.

It's a Major issue because the same companies on Ebay get priority over all the other companies. Those companies jack up the prices and it renders the 20% off deal useless.

Just make it based on Category….ie 20% OFF TECH

          NEG +3

        • @motion2082: OMG, the price jacking is surreal. I had some items on my want list and they either disappeared or got price jacked. Every time these sales come up, this happens.

I've given up negging, too many fan bois.

InB4 @cwongtech throws a leg over his high horse and gives it a giddy-up… yes, there are some deals, I understand that, but you can't deny that price jacking goes on. I had a few different security camera sets on my list and all of them went up between $30 and $50. The morning just before the sale, I went through and saved a bunch of iPad minis, only to come back after the sale started and they either had gone "no stock" or "no longer available" when most of them were 10+ stock.

At least this is better than the 0.75% cashback garbage…

        • +1

          @pegaxs:

Yeah unreal how much Fan Bias there is…tell it how it is people…too many sheep!

FUTU jacked their prices on the GTX1080 (+$50) and 6900k (+$100)

Boycotting this garbage sale once again!!!

Mate I do NOT deny price jacking is happening.
Screenshot the punks and report it to ACCC so they get fined like kogan!
However the below original comment when the negative vote was cast, is NOT a valid reason!
Don't just on a comment against me pegaxs.

Too slow buddy, you snooze you lose. First day on OzBargain?

        • @cwongtech: Woah there Bessie! Itallics and bold in your reply. Gave that high horse some giddyup there, cowboy.

I put the iPads on my list between 6:30 and 8am. Came back at about 10:30am. Don't think they all "sold out". Even all the iPad Airs/Pros all but vanished. You suggesting that they got Brodended??? Some were "out of stock" most were "Sorry. This item is no longer available"

And I think a neg is warranted because "major issue with retailer" stands to reason considering the removal of popular items and price jacking on others.

        • @pegaxs:

And I think a neg is warranted because "major issue with retailer" stands to reason considering the removal of popular items and price jacking on others.

Again, the original comment the negative vote was cast with is invalid.
It's like shooting someone because you didn't like them, then digging up reasons why they should have been shot anyway to justify your actions.

Aww, have a tissue buddy, you can have a cuddle too if you like.
OR you can report them to ACCC to stop it from happening. Whinging here does nothing. Negative votes will change nothing. Giving evidence to ACCC will!

If motion2082 had neg'd for Price Jacking it would be fine, but he didn't. All he said when s/he voted was:

Select Stores…..groan….just make it site wide

How is price jacking anything to do with this?

        • @TheClipIt: Because "I" mentioned price jacking as an additional point. I added my point that was that people should be negging based on price jacking and item removal 5 mins prior to sales like these. But I don't bother negging any more, because I get inundated with 20%off eBay sale fanbois getting all butt hurt over a neg vote.

@cwongtech: So every single iPad Mini that was on sale sold out in 30 mins. Again, I ask, was Broden on? And sure, ACCC, lets go there. Lets throw a bone to a toothless dog. InB4: but but but… Kogan!! Yeah, one store, one time. And Kogan went right back to doing the same shit again. Shows how much power the ACCC has. And it seems it is not I that requires the tissues. Hope you're keeping that high horse watered and fed, cwong. ;)

The ACCC, it's like using a Maltese Terrier to keep the Pitbulls out of your yard… :D

  • Picked up Astro A40 TR + Mixamp for $320 which is cheaper than anywhere else:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291954022094?_trksid=p2060353.m27…
Havent checked through all the stores, but MWave pricing is good value with the discount. Have the 500th upvote :)

    • Picked one up when ebay had the spend over $300 get $100 voucher. They sound so bad compared to their older gear, i'm comparing them with my old A30's with the regular mixamp from 2011.

Something's seriously wrong with the TR mixamps where the audio sounds like it is tinny/echo-y/has reverb. So many complaints over at the astro forums over the past year but astro fail to acknowledge there's anything wrong with them.

There's an EQ preset section over there i recommend trying out the ones people have posted, they sound a lot better than what the headset sounds out of the box.

  • there were several things i was holding on out buying, waiting for one of these sales. checked them all now and they are more expensive even after discount.

  • So Harvey Norman don't stock any logitech products suddenly?

  • Wish there was Good Guys participation….Need a Dyson cheap!

The Kitchen Warehouse 20% deal off is genuine - it's 20% off their already discounted prices. No jacking up the prices.

Just bought a Shun kitchen knife set, made in Japan - RRP $949, discount price $495, with 20% off %396!

I ordered a number of other items - total saving around $200. That plus flat rate shipping of $9.90 makes a very good deal, so I'm happy!

  • if Ausluck was included that would of been good

  • I wanted some microSD cards, but were sick of PCByte and FutuOnline, so I found memory-zone. I tried the CSUNNY20 code, and it actually worked. Got this Samsung 64GB Evo+, priced at $29.95 before the code. The equivalent is $35 at Futu and $34.95 at PcByte.

    • Surprisingly, I got an order confirmation email from PCByte after my purchase. It looks like PCByte owns memory-zone.

      • +3

They used to be called 'PC Byte Storage', a couple months ago they renamed it to 'Memory Zone'.

Unfortunately the regular memory card deals are all raised in price quite a lot, that PC Byte Storage / Memory Zone listing was $25.95 before the code in previous deals, Shopping Square too $25.95. Now they are $29.95 minimum, up to $34.95 like you say for the 64GB example.

  • Blah. no tablets. only bunch of older models from 2014 being sold at full prices when it's not even near close to worth that.

  • Any cheap 10" or 11" laptops to recommend for byod? I need 2! Thanks

  • Hallelujah, this deal comes out just as I need to buy 2k worth of stuff.

  • Any chromecast ultra out of these stores? can not find any yet
