ASRock AC2600 G10 Gaming Router is equipped with four high performance internal antennas, offering a combined speed of 2.53Gbps. It is compliant with IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac specifications, and ideal for homes where high volumes of network traffic are needed. G10’s “Gaming Boost” function (kind of like Dynamic Quality of Service, QoS) optimizes the networking performances on your devices. Furthermore, with the ASRock APP, you can even remotely control your home appliances, or access storage devices like pen drives which have been plugged on to G10 without any complex configurations.

ASRock G10 has 4x4 built-in high sensitivity antennas with a maximum of 1733 Mbps at 5 Ghz and 800 Mbps at 2.4 Ghz. Thanks to the 1.4 GHz dual core processor, beamforming, and MU-MIMO (multi-user MIMO), users are able to surf the internet, watch streaming videos or play online games with extremely high speed connections. Wherever you are in your home, the stable WiFi signal focuses on your location for optimal speed.

  • Gaming router??

      WHAT IS THE ASROCK G10?

ASRock has thrown the kitchen sink at the G10, creating a router that packs in just about every feature you could imagine.

Top of the list, at least according to ASRock, is its Gaming Boost feature for prioritising gaming traffic – but really that’s the least of it. You also benefit from AC2600 Wi-Fi speeds, built-in NAS and printer sharing, a built-in infrared transmitter for controlling your devices via your network, and the H2R media streamer and travel router.

Not surprisingly, all this doesn’t come cheap. So the question is: do all these extras justify the price, or are they just gimmicks?

ASROCK G10 – DESIGN AND FEATURES

There’s no mistaking the G10’s gaming-orientated status. Its angular, glossy black plastic body screams gaming gear, as does its oversized glowing blue strip that runs down from the top to a quarter of the way down the front of the device. It looks striking straight out the box.

So the trusted review is "according to Asrock the router they made is awesome" and "it looks shit".

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

    • Yeah it blocks any packets to ip '192.168.0.1' so it prevents DDoS attacks and when you have a device connected to it and are listening to something you have a squeaky kid in the background saying things about your 'mom'.

    • "Gamers" aka nubcakes

    • Gaming router??

Like a regular router, but with an oversized ugly case, extra blinky lights, and double the price.

real gamers only use ethernet, connected to FTTH NBN (and will not live anywhere without it) :-)

It does have HDMI - I bet your existing router doesn't! Coz hard-core gamers love playing over Miracast.

  • How many antennas are in this thing? You first sentence says there are 4 and later on it states there are 8! Not very convincing so far…

    • +1

Its more like you dont understand the tech.

      Its 4 for 5ghz and 4 for 2.4ghz making a total of 8.

      • Thanks for the update - and yes, you're right, I don't understand the tech! Also, where you quote "4x4", I take it you mean 4+4?
