  • I replaced my Deco M5s with these a few months ago albeit at a higher price =( and it's improved connectivity to my back fence whereas my M5s only reached to 3/4 of my house, so now there are no dead spots even upstairs.

  • Set up was very simple via the app instructions and I was up and running within 20 minutes. I wanted something easy to set up and it's kept the family and guests happy during tv streaming times during the school holidays. Also worked well with Teams video meetings while family were streaming movies.

  • The Deco app appears quite simple to use for a tech novice. There are some advance features but i'm not technical enough to know how to leverage them. Overall i'm happy with this purchase and at $395 it's a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than other retailers currently.

  • It looks like you can use M5s (and other Decos) together with these X60s however, I personally found that some older devices kept getting confused and switching between routers frequently, and not choosing the one that seemed most obviously closer with direct line of site. After removing all M5s I didn't have any issues anymore and everything has been running seamlessly and fast. No more buffering pauses on my Fire TV Stick at the other end of the house.

Highly recommend these routers and points for excellent coverage, ease of use and parental controls.

    • Over Eero 6+?

  • If you wish to keep your other deco or you’re just adding on, just go into the actual deco and set connection preference to the one closest to you.

I’m still undecided what set to get, or should I just upgrade my main and keep my m9+’s around the place

  • how is this one compared to X68?

I'm no techie, but from experience, this X60 has better 5ghz speed:

      Compare

      WiFi Speeds
      AX5400
      5 GHz: 4804 Mbps (802.11ax)
      2.4 GHz: 574 Mbps (802.11ax)

      AX3600
      5 GHz: 1802 Mbps (802.11ax)
      5 GHz: 1201 Mbps (802.11ax)
      2.4 GHz: 574 Mbps (802.11ax)

But the X68 has tri-band, this x60 is only dual band, which is especially important if you are using wireless backhaul. I would personally get the X68 over this, which is actually cheaper (eg $359). Unless you were running some wired backhaul and planned to run 2gbps nbn, when it exists.

Discussed recently here and here and here.

Edit: I am getting over 106mbps on my nbn 100/20, on the 3rd node of my X68 (on the other side of the house from the main node/nbn box), running completely wireless. On the Deco M5 (dual band) I was getting 60-70mbps on the 3rd node.

      Download Mbps
      106.02
      Upload Mbps
      18.71
      Ping ms 16

      • thanks was planning to get the X68 in the first place !

    • X68 is ax3600. But is tri-band
