  My family is actually just getting over a head lice outbreak. Do these actually work, or what? I never want to comb through my girls' hair again. It takes hours.

    i call BS.

    My son has had them twice in the last 2 months, my daughter who has long hair hasn't had them once.
    These two are like two peas in a pod so its not like they have the opportunity to crawl across… I suspect there are some types of hair they like and some they dont.

    maybe he sweats more or something and they like that… dunno. but either way its clear there is no decent evidence that this kit works. might as well be homeopathic. oh wait…

  Looks like snake oil.

  Each band apparently provides 2 weeks of 'defence' against headlice, based on the bands being treated with nothing more than essential oils. While I'm open to the concept of essential oils being applied to the scalp to have some effect on lice (although this isn't a great idea on small children, depending on the oil and amount), I find it pretty hard to believe that a hair band can protect an entire head.

    All the essential oils are well known natural (albeit, home remedy) lice deterants. I've used them on myself and children for decades as I'm constantly around heavily lice infected patients and I can attest to their stinky powers as I haven't had lice in 15+ years.
    But I definitely agree that a puny hair tie is not going to be potent enough. Probably better off lathering your own head with the oils listed!

  I ordered when this deal was first posted here on the 19 December and finally today on the 18 January received an email confirming the order is processing.

  Why the hell would they post this deal if they aren't going to process orders for a month. Terrible service, stay away from this seller.
