Quilton Hypo Allergenic 2-Ply 250 Facial Tissues $1.70 @ Woolworths

1140

Was $2.90. $0.68/100ss. A decent quality basic tissue, not as good as the 3 ply options of course, but quite a lot cheaper. The cheapest I have seen it at supermarkets in some time, it has only gone down to $2.50 in the recent past.

Cheaper than Homebrand tissues $2 for 224pk / $0.89/100ss, they used to be $1.30 but have had a fair rise to $2.

Reviews: 4.7/5 on Amazon. No price match as yet (still $2.90 a pack equivalent).

Also comes with a bonus Cubeez (assuming you spend $30+), if you are collecting those.

Yeah I find these better than the cheap brand versions which cost about the same. The kids go through tissues like the world is gonna end. Especially at dinner.

    • yup! 😂

      Serviettes are cheaper

      • Can you share a link of the ones that you buy?

Time for Amazon to match the price as well, at least for the bulk pack.

I want to support Quilton but they are so bad at pulling the next tissue through after the box gets to about half full.

    • I agree, they need to redesign something.

The two lifting flaps on the bottom do next to nothing.

      • So… I can't post Ali express links no even if they are not spam, not affiliated and not a referral link… Mods, get your act together, or at least give me a reason…

I bought 20 of these after getting the Quilton bulk packs:
[LINK OMITTED FOR NO GOOD REASON]

Anyway, you can find them on AliExpress by searching Tissue Dispenser Spring Support. They should be $0.71 USD per unit. Shipping stays at $2.88 from 4 to 54 units ordered.

Open each of the 12 Quilton tissue boxes in one end, slide in the spring loaded lifter, and close up the box with some double-sided tape. Some would probably say "too much effort" but it takes less than a minute per box, you won't even see it's been opened, and the tissues will always follow each other perfectly 😎👍

Save the lifter when you toss the empty boxes. Then, when I'm about through the first bulk box of 12, I open the next one and do the 12 in there.

Tissues haven't caused me troubles since… Well, I guess the only "problem" is that you have no indication of a box being almost out unless you pick it up, but that's fine by me 😁👍

        • I see the value but honestly, the long term solution is just to find a brand that grips the next tissue better and pulls it up. I don't have brain space to move the springs around each new box or use a tissue box container for the 5 or so boxes we have scattered around the house.

Similar for wipes. I don't want to buy Huggies for certain reasons but I have to since they pull flawlessly every time and I can't deal with a failed wipe pull mid-nappy change at 2am.

          • @Mr BoMBAStiG: Can't argue with that logic 👍

I'm weird, so I pack a whole box of tissue boxes at a time. And we don't have kids so managing the spring supports is not a problem for us…

However, if there is a (similarly priced) brand available, which don't have the problem of dropping tissues, then I'd be more than happy to change and be free of the extra hassle.

    • This was an annoyance for me until I invested in tissue containers. No box? No issues. Just tissues.

Aldi toilet paper as tissue confidently. Face skin and ass skin are same. So are lips, mouth and ass mucosa.
Food with hot chilly equally burns and irritates mouth and ass when enters and exits digestive system!

    • It sounds like there much denial in that more than just chilli burns entering and exiting your mouth and ass by your description.

You jumped on it, but it is general statement champ. I do not expect much from a Macaroni and others here. I do not care your saying.

  • A deal that can be not sneezed at and sneezed at.

    • Schrodinger's Sneeze?

  • Also comes with a bonus Cubeez (assuming you spend $30+), if you are collecting those.

don't you just get a bonus one each regardless of $30 spend?

    • Ah it might be, I read the bonus items as being in addition to the one you get for $30 spend, when it says 'plus'. l will correct it if you/someone can confirm. I'm not very familiar with how those work.

Get one Cubeez free with every $30 you spend in store or online. Plus get bonus Cubeez when you purchase participating products.

  • Waiting for Amazon to price match and cashback

    • Only 0.5% cashback unfortunately.

  • It's only 2 ply how would this be better? Been using Sorbent when they are on discount. Quality of quilton range in general for all their products have gone down, including toilet paper, facial tissue plus paper towel.

They have skimmed on quality. The 3 ply extra thick it's no longer thick at all its like ordinary ones. I thought I ordered non thick but they labelled as thick

    Everything changed around 2023
