This album is a victim of the loudness war and does sound better than the CD. Most Chili Peppers albums from Californication and beyond do.
I wish there was a vinyl master of Californication, love that album hate the compression.

I got heaps of vinyl in the 90's for Free from my local Record Store. The record companies used them as packaging to protect CD cases from cracking in transport.
