  X Files is not a show that has aged well. You'd be best to leave it in the 90s and not revisit it..

  Refuse to buy after the UTTER CRAP that was the 2016 series.

  I think in episode 2 this year they finally looked like they were going to answer some of the long running questions. Then it went back to worthless self-contained episodes that contributed nothing to the greater story. Couldn't even make myself watch the last episode, so unless they wrapped the whole thing up in that, not interested.

    What long running questions? [Spoilers, I guess] Short of the aliens invading, everything was more or less revealed by season 6 of the original show. The 2016 series did suck overall, but it was nice to see them back. And episode 3 is a flat-out classic. Worth it for that IMHO.

  Most of 2016 was not great but the lizard man one was funny; I always prefer the funny ones. My favourites are the guys dressed in the Alien suits that are kidnapped by the real alien and the metal dung eating beatles episode.
