  • Does anyone know if this would speed up the charging of my Apple devices? Iphone 6 Plus and Ipad pro

    • Compared to the stock iphone charger? No difference.

    • +1

would speed up the charging of my Apple devices?

      Compared to what?

The iPhone is a 5V device, and only charge at maximum 2.1A (using an old style iPad charger)

The iPad Pro is USB Type C connector and will pull either 5V 2.4V (on a USB charger that can do it) or 14.5V 2.0A if paired with 'USB PD' charger than can supply that.

So, this Blitzwolf will charge your apple devices faster than a USB port on a computer.

  • Just a heads up if you want more than one… You will pay little extra as I though I would grab a second one after buying one and the website reports the code has already been used!

    • Just buy in 2 separate transactions.

    • You need to create a new account or use a different paypal account

    • I haven't bought one yet & still says that the code has already been used.

Seems like Banggood recycles their codes.

  • something like this - we should bulk buy and share the express postage.

Im tipping we should be able to get 30 of these and pay an extra 1.50 for express.

    • +1

It's going to be hard to organise 30 people over $1.50 lol

    • +2

Even with my crap hourly pay rate if i have to spend an hour to collect it from your house, its not worth it.

    • Paying for fast postage won't help. I've tried it and it's still slow. It does nothing but inflates their GPM.

These guys have no shame. Good luck trying to get a refund if products are faulty.

  • This would be great bundled with some USB C cables.

    • -3

      Why? It's not a "USB-C device".

      It's a QUALCOMM QC charger.

      • Because it still needs a cable.

        • -1

Well, yes - chargers don't usually come with cables, you know.

However it's pretty damn pointless bundling it with a USB-C cable, because this charger doesn't charge USB-C devices at anything other than 5V 2.0 Amps.

And charging a USB-C device in that way defeats the purpose of buying a Qualcomm QC 3.0 compliant charger. So if that is all you want, you might as well just buy a standard 2-port USB charger.

        • @llama:

The charger I received with my HTC 10 isn't a "USB-C charger" either, they provided a USB Type A to C cable, yet it charges at the full QC rate. Can you please enlighten me.

        • @tren:

yet it charges at the full QC rate. Can you please enlighten me

An HTC 10 uses Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0

Whilst it uses a USB Type C CONNECTOR, but it is using QC 3.0 charging protocols.

So a "USB Type C + PD 2.0" charger would be useless for that phone.

          Everyone - please, please…

Do not confuse the CONNECTOR with the CHARGING PROTOCOL - these are 2 different things.

        • @tren:

Just to add - the HTC 10 is a very strange product, in that it uses USB Type C connector but doesn't comply with USB Type C specifications.

I won't go into details here, but the bottom line is that manufacturers aren't supposed to be doing what HTC has done - they should be using the international standard "USB Power Delivery" (USB PD v2.0) standard for the "fast charging".

So, whilst a bundle combining Qualcomm QC 3.0 charger and HTC Type C cable would be useful for HTC 10 owners, it is completely wrong for almost every other USB Type C product.

So my answer above be charger + cable was relating to how it's supposed to be done, not HTC's strange implementation which creates a situation where a non-standard combination is supplied. Does that make sense?

        • @llama: So is it pointless, and/or will the BlitzWolf QC 3.0 charger with a USB-C cable charge my HTC 10 at the full QC 3.0 rate?

        • @llama: No shit it's a 'Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0'.

        • @tren:

          So is it pointless

I am unsure why you are finding this confusing. Also I don't know why you are asking me… I wouldn't have a clue how to charge your phone.

All the information you need is on the respective Phone and Charger specifications pages.

will the BlitzWolf QC 3.0 charger with a USB-C cable charge my HTC 10 at the full QC 3.0 rate?

The Blitzswolf in this deal has one port that can charge as follows:

QC3.0 mode: Variable 3.6V-12V with 200mV incremental dynamic regulation
          QC3.0 Port: 3.6-6.5V/2.4A 6.5-9V/2A 9-12V/1.5A (Max)

So, in order to work out whether that is what YOU need, simply check what your Phone needs.

No shit it's a 'Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0'.

Not sure what that comment is supposed to mean?

You own the phone, not me. You're the one who is struggling to understand, so there is no point being rude to me when I am trying to help you.

I am googling like a demon trying to find out phone specs, yet you have the device AND the manuals, specs, etc right there in front of you. So if you RTFM, you'll know more than me… and hence will not need to ask here. :-)

        • @llama:

I find it quite simple actually. That's why I bought it. But since you're the arm chair expert you should be stating the facts clearly instead of potentially misleading people.

        • @tren:

But since you're the arm chair expert you should be stating the facts clearly instead of potentially misleading people.

What on earth are you talking about?

        • @llama: "However it's pointless bundling it with a USB-C cable, because this charger doesn't charge USB-C devices at anything other than 5V 2.0 Amps. So if that is what you want, you might as well just buy a standard 2-port USB charger."

        • @tren:

Geeze… OK, I will fix it for you:

However it's pointless bundling it with a USB-C cable, because this charger doesn't charge USB-C devices that comply with the USB-C Standards at anything other than 5V 2.0 Amps. So if that is what you want, you might as well just buy a standard 2-port USB charger.

Sorry my crystal ball was in getting serviced, so I didn't realise that you owned one of the very few non-compliant USB Type C products. You only mentioned it was a HTC after my comment above, which was not "device-specific". As far as I can determine, only two phones don't conform to what I wrote, and your HTC is one of them.

Pointless attempting to be a smart arse towards me… get yourself educated by reading the numerous posts on Google+ by the #1 expert on USB phone charging, Benson Leung.

Posting on this place is such hard work… are 3 pages of disclaimers required for every statement made? Sorry I originally gave the short, concise and technically correct answer, rather than a long winded technical explanation that was totally irrelevant to almost every person who owns a phone.

To summarise - a device that uses Qualcomm QC to increase voltages >5V via a USB-C port is not compliant with USB Standards. This creates a situation that the USB Type C specifications was designed specifically to solve.

        • +1

@llama: Hi Llama, just letting you know that I just received my charger, which surprising came bundled with a USB type A to C cable. It is charging my phone at the QC3 rate.

        • +1

          @tren:

It is charging my phone at the QC3 rate

          Well, good for you.

Your HTC is non-compliant with USB standards and thus one of a very rare number of devices (I think the worldwide total is two) which will work that way.

So whilst you consider yourself immensely clever and smug with your purchase, I am posting information for others who have "normal" and "compliant" phones with USB-C connectors, so that they don't expect to get "Quick Charging" over USB-C using this Blitzwolf charger.

      • +1

"Qualcomm Quick Charge is designed to be connector-independent. It can be implemented in a device that supports a variety of connectors, including USB Type-A, USB micro, USB Type-C, and others. When an OEM chooses to implement Quick Charge into their device, they can configure the voltage to fit within the specifications of the USB Type-C standard. We have received no reports of user experience or device malfunction issues with or without USB Type-C connectors. At Qualcomm Technologies, we are continuously working to provide the best solutions for our customers and consumers. Qualcomm Quick Charge is a leading edge fast charging solution with more than 70 devices and 200 accessories supporting one of the two most recent versions of Quick Charge, with even more currently in development." Qualcomm statement.

        • +3

This is not about just voltage. You could do it, but then technically it wont be usb-c anymore. Have a read of this for more details:
          https://www.extremetech.com/mobile/227188-google-engineer-wa…

So when Qualcomm says "When an OEM chooses to implement QC into the device" what they are really saying is "if an OEM chooses to violate USB-C specifications"

        • Not sure where you got that quote, Quarn… but the information it contains is wrong.

If a manufacturer uses Qualcomm Quick Charge QC 2.0 or QC 3.0 with a USB Type C connector, then they violate the USB specifications.

A device using USB Type C connector is designed to be looking for the industry standard USB Power Delivery protocol, not Qualcomm's proprietary protocol. The USB PD and QC systems do similar things, but they are not directly compatible.

It's a confusing mess, which is why the USB Consortium tried to standardise it. Unfortunately they seem to created more confusion than they have solved. That is primarily because of poor education of consumers. Also, I don't think that the manufacturers are helping by not making it clear what protocols, voltages and currents their devices can output or can accept/require.

So, people (as evidenced in this thread) don't understand that a USB Type C connector is only that, a connector. It might be USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 or even HDMI on the data side, whist it's charging capabilities don't necessarily match any of those.

The USB Type C connector has dynamically assigned pins just like the Apple Lightning connector that it's concept is kind-of modelled upon. The difference is that Apple standard is "standard", whilst USB Type C is a minefield of confusion!

Coupon doesn't work in the banggood app.

    • +2

      Fixed

      • Thanks, bought on the website instead.

  • Hi rep, literally ordered one of these a few hours ago, any chance of getting it at this price instead and having a credit, or a cable or two to make up the difference?

  • +1

Awesome!!!!! I was actually about to spend $50 just to get a quick charge 3.0 charger with an AU port.

Thank you so much for creating an AU port on this, you're the first chinese retailer to do that.

    • Ironically, China has the same orientation as us, so they would have sold them first (in their domestic market).

      • China's sockets are actually upside-down compared to us. This one looks like it's the right way up (and with insulated pins) from the photos, so it would have been made specifically for us.

  • quick charge wears out the battery faster.

  • +1

Does these have the required certification to legally be used in Australia?

    • Definitely not

      • +2

To put it in perspective, millions of tourists "illegally" plug in their phone/laptop chargers into Australian power sockets every year and no hotel has burned down because of it.

    • Absolutely 100% definitely not.

By law they need RCM for EMC, MEPs certification listing on the database, and Safety certification.

  • Try using this service for some of some of the tracking numbers from China http://eretail.amservices.net.au:8080/TblTrackandTrace.aspx?…

Don't know if there is a URL where you post the number yourself. Was discussed on Whirlpool forums

  • "coupon is only allowed in a special product" DID NOT WORK

  • How much do these things heat up? I bought one for travelling so I can plug my phone and powerbank overnight, however I wouldn't really want to be sleeping while this thing is heating up!

  • My previous order from this seller is on back order. I am hoping this one won't be the same.

  • +1

I received a very late book order and the Aus Post worker said that OUR border patrol were on strike for 2 weeks, hence the delay. Might be what happened to you guys too.

    • Australia Post are worse enough as it is, now the border patrol guys are on strike?

      It's laughable at best.

  • +1

Are these ok to charge a raspberry PI3

  • Can't get it below $9.69 USD even with the coupon and free shipping.

  • Which phone right now has QC 3.0 supported? I know S7E only 2.0. I'm guessing LG V20 and Pixel XL or maybe the new Xiaomi note?

  • what ?!>!?!?!?!
    "coupon has been used"

  • Anyone got a link to a deal on some good lightning cables?

    • Ebay and search for "AICase" - make sure to sort by price (not best match) and read each listing carefully. The unit prices vary wildly, and they are cheaper in bulk with 3 or 5 seems to be the sweet spot.

I think the best I found was a 3 pack of 1 metre at just over $4 each delivered from Sydney. I bought 2m and 3m this time, some sellers have a deal for 20% off 2nd item.

All seem to be the same seller, just using multiple Ebay IDs.

  • Expired coupon not working

    • I used it successfully 5 minutes ago.

  • bought one for my lg g4

  • Used Microsoft Edge and it works

  • Just receieved a message saying the charger has been shipped out, that was quick!

  • Literally tried on 3 diff Comps and ISP's and cannot click buy. I give up

    • +1

Try selecting bkack or white first.

      • Haha happened to me too

    • use the app

  • Thanks, bought! (10:20pm AEDT)

  • how do i know if my device can be utilized with QC3.0?

  • Thanks, ordered one!

  • Coupon can only be used 500 times :(
    Missed out

    • So did I. Normal price is $17.22AU. Still worth it??

      • 500 people will scream YES

  • The status of my order is "Back Order". Can the rep or anyone else confirm how long it will take?

  • -3

My previous order from Banggood for a charger never turned up either. They did Refund me but that was almost 2 months later

    • No longer available - hey REP, any chance of getting more of these…?

      • Active, but only the white in stock now.

        • Hi Rep, can't reply to my comment?

    • What's the problem then?
Sounds like you got good service.

  • The website is unresponsive in three different browsers and in one webroot pops up and said it is pointing at a known bad thing.

    • use the app.

      • had to turn off security/blocker software to get it working

  • So I tried to order another one, It says the coupon can only be used once. This is BS I say!!!!

FYI - Black sold out, only white available.

  • great deal Banggood! Keep the good deals coming

  • not getting the price of $12.84

    AU$17.15 x2 = AU$34.30
    -AU$4.36
    = AU$29.94 / 2 = $14.97

doesnt matter if i change it to USD.

Is the price you provided in the title with Cash Rewards discount as well?

  • +1

Ordered another one. Couldn't help myself lol.

  • Got an error message stating the code is invalid. Temporary issue or mark as expired?

  • Sold out. Got the last one.

    Hope they get some more.

    • Were u able to get it down to the price marked in the title?

      • Yes

        • How?
When I tried to add the coupon it went to $14 each

  • just received mine today (white). that was fast!!!!! (the other black one, i havent got yet)

arrived in a plain box, came with usb cable. just tested and works fine. tested on note 4 which is only qc 2. but it worked perfect (i dont have any qc 3 devices). excellent charger, highly recommend. build quality seems very solid(better than my apple and samsung chargers which came with my devices) and noticed the usb ports light up which is kinda nice cause now you can charge your stuff without turning the light on. Excellent. 10/10. exceeded my expections :)

  • Sold out! Anyone who have a extra one that they dont need I am happy to buy it off them. PM me cheers

  • +2

Got mine today… Pretty fast. Works well. Well packed.

  • Got mine yesterday and ordered on 7/11/16
Came in nice branded box with manual and USB cable

  • Should also mention I'm charging a Motorola X Style with mine and can confirm the "Turbo Power Connected" message appears on the screen. And there's no whine in a quiet room with mine,, (some feedback on Blitzwolf products mentions a low hum or whine when in use)..

    • Same works great, now I'm looking for another one for my home.

  • +1

Got mine today and it doesnt seem to quick charge my samsung s6 or s7 :(

Its supposed to be backwards compatible isnt it?

EDIT: ok it was the samsung cable that wasnt quick charging, swapped to a none samsung cable and it quick charges.

  • Won't quick charge SONY XPERIA Z3

I've tried the cable that came with it + another blitzwolf cable which states qc3 compatibility, but neither enable quick charge mode.
My car charger does work to quick charge.

    Any clues?
