ok. Let's just all agree. This needs to be a new ozbargain meme for 24/25 holiday season. 🎅

As I have aged, so many memes have left me baffled.

        But this one I know.

This makes me happy. My slide into boomertude is halted for now.

        It's charging her lover

Bought one of these 6 months ago. It's become my go to charging station. Excellent quality. Excellent for travelling.

It's basically at this price all year round

I don't think that camels is a good indicator anymore. For example, Amazon games the system by adding discount coupons which are not tracked on camels- only the higher base price is tracked.

        • Are there any sites that can track prices with coupons applied by any chance?

    • +4

Yup had this in my cart for over a month and it’s actually a couple of dollars dearer than what it has been

    • Exactly, it had an extra 5% coupon during Black Friday sale

  • Can anyone recommend a decent 2m cable to suit a laptop that’s probably only going to draw <60w?

Preferably silicone, not braided (they tend feel cheap).

  • This is a really amazing charger. I have one and have had 2 notebooks running and charging on it. I've had multiple phones charging and they charge in no time at all. I can't remember what I paid for it, but at this price you cannot go wrong.

  • shows 99.95$ to me…

can you plug an older (e.g. 2015) macbook into this somehow? do they have magsafe chargers that run off of USB C?

    • I think they only have USB-C to MagSafe for the newer models.

    • Different style. Separate Cable vs straight wall plug. Cabled is more versatile/easier to take traveling/swap cable for correct country plug.

  • I bought the 100w, a USB C port died, got it refunded, bought a 65w. The 100w is quite a lot bigger/heavier.

If you're setting up at home in a permanent space, the 100w probably worth it. For traveling/EDC, go check the 65w deal for 20 bucks less.

Important info: It doesn't disconnect other devices when plugging more.

The majority of GaN, when connecting devices to charge it will briefly stop charging the devices already connected.
This is a big negative for GaN if you are using it to turn on devices without built-in battery line those miniPC.

I've this 100W and it doesn't disconnect the devices.

    • Are you sure about that? We're talking about the 100W version listed in the OP right?

I have this and it does briefly disconnect my laptop (Lenovo P14s pulling 100W) if I plug in my phone (Galaxy Fold 5 pulling 25W).

Haven't tried with lower powered devices yet, so I'll test that later.

        i AM SO SORRY!

I checked my Amazon purchase history and I got the 200W version lol
The first intention for it was to power my gaming laptop, I cannot connect/disconnect devices without it negotiating new connections.

It is actually in promotion: $129 right now.
I would buy that one even so it is heavier because having devices disconnecting is a big deal breaker for me.
