Oh no! Now I have to fill the freezer again.
Do you know if its the sticks too?

    • +1

Do an online order and do a pickup for the latest day you can - easy ;)

    • +2

No 1/2 price for sticks this week unfortunately

The deal we've all being waiting for is back!

No need to wait. Whenever this deal is on, go to the customer service desk everyday and get a raincheck for 6. Get one rain check per visit to the desk.

Then whenever you run out, stock up . Simple

    • I like your way of thinking ec ;)

      • +1

I do this with all the specials i like. That's how i save on groceries all year round.

I have a tin filled up with ~100 rainchecks ATM

        • Has to be in store though as they dont do rainchecks online

        • +2

          @Jase1:

yep. But im saving anywhere between $10 - $50 per raincheck so its worth the visit to the store

    • +20

I thought rainchecks were only for items which are out of stock, and rainchecks only last 4 weeks before expiring?

    • You have picture proof for having 100+ ranchers? Don't think they would give you unless they run out of stock, Coles raincheck lasts for 4 weeks woolies 12 months

      • Woolies is 4 weeks, I have one here.

      • +1

Don't think they would give you unless they run out of stock

i ask for a flavor that is out of stock. When i redeem they do not look at the flavor. i get 2 - 3 rainchecks a week worth of products

    • This also depends on your store having no stock of the flavour/variety you want. Unfortunately my local store is always well stocked!

    • -3

ssssshhhhh. i just learned how to do this several weeks ago. now you giving up my secret!!! lol

      • +2

lol i have been doing it for years

    • rain checks last 4 weeks now, and at balaclava they check stock before rain checks. …… but yes if they run out get a rain check. with the rain check you can also get one tub at a time ….. they just update the rain check for how many are left…… so get it for 4 and buy a tub when ever you need one.

i think the rain check use by date ( 4 weeks) is a result of people just using rain checks after a while….. i did for coffee, lollies, paper towel etc as i have limited space at home but liked 50% off between the specials.

Did you read the website link I posted. it's 12 months so ask for a 12 month one in store .and show them the link to the website. Just called my local store and was told 12 months

If worse comes to worse, get them to amend the existing one and sign next to the correction

    • -1

A store manager at Wollies refused a raincheck yesterday insisting it will be stocked tomorrow lol.

  • +5

    Mmmm. connoisseur belgian chocolate.

  • +1

    Matcha?

    • +2

Yeah I want green tea too but it seems Coles only?

      • +1

        woolies as well

      • My woolworths doesn't have green tea. Seems to vary store to store.
I hope they do not phase this flavour out, I believe it is the only matcha ice cream we can purchase.
Based on the last 50% sale at coles it seems to be the least popular flavour.

        • +1

Based on my experience in the last woolies sale matcha was the most popular flavour by far, sold out at 5 stores. Where is this magical Coles where no one wants matcha?

      • +1

I've seen green tea at Woolies Wolli Creek in Sydney

      • +1

Even then, not every Coles. I could not find it in any nearby Coles either.

  • +14

No store will issue you a raincheck if they have the item in stock, A rain check is only issued if they run out of stock

    • +2

Simple bought all the stock and ask for a raincheck.

  • +2

mmmm i hope the NYC collection is still available

  • People leave some matcha tubs for the rest of us!

    • Yeah leave some

  • +2

I've just lost 5kgs… time to put them back on me thinks!

  • +4

The Coney Island one is disgusting. Has bits of soggy popcorn in it :(

    • +2

Take that back! How dare you.

    • I gagged at the green tea matcha ice cream. I could not finish a single scoop, but it seems a lot of people love it.

I found the Coney Island flavour to be nice, if a bit too sweet.

      • They over-complicated the matcha flavour in my opinion. Wish just a plain green tea ice cream was available in supermarkets.

        • email them, maybe they'll make it happen if they get enough feedback.

    • +2

my popcorn smelt a bit like sulfur. felt like i was chewing on a fart x(

    • They are all crap now, nothing like the old Chocolate Obsession or Butter Pecan or Strawberry Stravaganza of old. Now made all cheap, smooth yes but not cream creamy. Crap.

  • Damn, literally bought a matcha tub for $10 just now

  • How does this compare to last time 1\2 PRICE?

  • +4

    MY BODY IS READY

  • How does these compare to Ben & Jerrys ice cream?

    • That really is more of personal preference but myself I favour Ben & Jerrys more, more choice of flavours (does depend on where you are) but a little bit more expensive generally before sale prices.

      • +1

varies by flavour so not just a brand comparison but what flavour in a brand ….. the belgian chocolate is hard to beat if you like chocolate ….. has more cocoa than the other brands.

    • Ben and Jerrys are cucks

  • +6

This stuff tastes amazing. Cookies and cream is my choice.

  • +1

Belgian Choc is great. Vanilla is rubbish. Just my 2 bobs worth.

    • +1

      Tried that new brownie one?

      • yes brownie is great ….. very chocolatey and the brownie is chewy.

vanilla is also good as a side ….. eg with pancakes though not as light and creamy as streets blue ribbon vanilla.

      • Yes, just had it now and it is nothing special….my least preferred of the range so far. Not very chocolatey and the brownie bits add nothing in flavour. Needs a gooey/rich chocolate sauce I reckon, like the Magnum tubs.

  • +2

There is no other ice cream like Cafe Grande.

Haagen Dazs Salted Caramel would like a word with you.

    Coles price match, problem solved!

    • yeah …..
price matches between coles and woolies would br great……save me walking across the car park between the stores….. or do the dans " lowest prices guaranteed, and we check daily" ……

    • -1

      so does Coles price match?

  • have found these guys to be real innovative with their different flavours. kudos

  • +3

Good stuff. Tried the green tea - very nice, if only they had a version without the waffle cone bits.

    • I agree! Would be perfect without those sickly sweet bits added.

  • I wish movenpick is available in australia :/ funny theres a dearth of choices here vs. nz

    • There's one in Melbourne CBD at QV, along with some more dotted around the country.

      • No, i meant movenpick tub ice creams at supermarkets like http://shop.countdown.co.nz/Shop/ProductDetails?stockcode=26…

and countdown is owned by woolworth too.

        • Ah, my bad.

Also, Woolies are called Countdown in NZ? The more you know…

      • Store are available across all capitals I believe (I have seen in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide) but their ice creams aren't available in retail stores like Woollies.

    • +1

they have movenlick at some of the supermarkets …. love the pistachio ….. have only been able to afford it once though.

      • Where? Harris Farm? I haven't seen in Coles and Woollies at least.

    • Have you had Hagen daas? I really like them

      • Which super markets sell them here?

    • There used to be (not sure if they're still there) a store of it in Harbour Town on the Gold Coast.

    • Was here in the 00's. Nothing special. Had in Switzerland too, nothing to rave about at all.

      • No its nothing special but at $8 a tub its not expensive either.Connoisseur on the other hand tastes just like any other generic $3 tiptop/nestle/… ice cream but with a better packaging.

  • Connoseur Icecream and Kettle Chips Chilli.. here I come

  • anyone know if the new peanut butter flavour is any good? like is it super peanut buttery?!

  • Cafe Grande is the one true flavour.

  • My local store didn't have the greentea one :( Ended up getting the peanut butter & pretzel and golden syrup.

    • You couldn't asked for a raincheck with discounted price

      • Nah I don't think they stock that flavour altogether cause I didn't see any labels or anything.

btw the golden syrup one is awful! should've went with the cookie one haha

  • Ever since the brownie flavour disappeared, none of the others cut it. The Belgium chocolate doesn't even come close :(

    • Yep, cocao crap flavour.

  • Got some Cookies and Cream last night. Delicious!
    What else is good?

    • White choc raspberry my favourite, easily. Followed by choc honey nougat. Followed by belgian choc. Followed by cookies n cream. FOllowed by caramel macadamia.

ARRGHGH they are all awesome except the pretzel one. Wasn't a fan.

      • Wanted to get White choc raspberry but my local didn't have it!

  • Cafe Grande is divine!
