Not a bad price. Bought this the last eBay 15% off + CR for $920.

  • Hmm, looks a bit weak against the Yamaha deal from a few days back.

Clearance on last year's model at that price doesn't compare with this year's equivalent Yamaha at $500.

You mean the Yamaha V581 from Amazon France ? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/267754

Its expired now.. and many people prefer Denon over Yamaha. My current (RX-V773) and previous AVR's are Yamaha, but Im considering switching to Denon.

As an aside, my V773 was purchased from Amazon Italy, and failed after 3 days. Cost over $400 to post back to Amazon cos these suckers are heavy! Thankfully they reimbursed me but only because they considered it DOA. If it had died after 30 days, I would have been shit out of luck and out of pocket hundreds of dollars.
That is a point for buying from a local retailer.

Is this your best price? Outgoing model.
Price on review is 500 pounds which is your current price with conversion. Should be about $650 tbh.

    • 500 British Pounds is $846.72.

Please post where you've found it for $650. Thanks.

          Wasn't replying to you.

      • Yes, £500 ($850) in 2015 so it should be lower in 2016 (the newest 2300W is near $1k shipped).

        • Please post link of 2300W anywhere near $1k. Thanks

        • @tpk90:
I won't post the link but if you really want to see it, the newest Denon AVR-X2300W 2016 cost 661.83 E shipped / AU$973 on Amazon.de with a marvellous 2% off retail price ! European retail price of course, amazon.de isn't the only one that sell the Denon near 699 eur (£499 in UK) 20% GST/VAT included.

I hope it will reduce the Australian's RRP.

edit: and it is not the cheapest ! In fact, it's just the first link I found on google with an extra keyword after the "denon AVR X2300W".

This receiver it's decent. I used to have one. One thing I'd say is that the built in spotify is not with the trouble. I ended up connecting a chrome cast music instead. I haven't found a receiver that does this well. At least chrome cast is cheap.

I bought my receiver from this store: great service.

  • oh man! I had sold myself on this and put it in the checkout - but $200 shipping costs completely kills it. Damn.

      Hey mogwai41,
Feel free to jump on the livechat at www.videopro.com.au and we will have a look at what we can do for you!!

      • Hi Maddie,

Do these ship out from the nearest store, or from a central location ?
I ordered one yesterday morning, but over 24hrs later have not yet had a shipping/tracking email.
Id like to get before the weekend, and could look at collecting from a store (Gold Coast).

        Thanks

        • Nevermind tpk90 - all sorted via live chat :)
