…which was only expired due to (mis?)information from an "Associated" employee.

OOPS - new glasses needed.
Anyway see my other post (in a minute.)
Should have gone to…..
So you are allowed to make a typo but I wasn't.
No real bargain, just matching others.
To check what's on offer locally use http://gasbottlerefills.comI was JUST about to post the exact same website, but this search page:
Hmm, wonder if bunnings will price match this site…
So i picked a gas bottle up from the verge during a road side clean up on the weekend to swap as a spare, its a little rusty in a few patches. Will they still accept it at Bunnings?
Will they still accept it at Bunnings?
The acceptance is based on the Swap & Go policies, which means INSPECTION / EXPIRY DATE, not appearance.
However, some Bunning staff are too lazy to check (those are the ones to seek out).
I know the last few servos ive been to they have just given me a key and i do the swap myself, this way would be a few dollars cheaper, guess i wont know till i try my luck really
Some swap and go bottle from burning are too old. My last one was last tested in 2000, so 16 years ago. I tried to refill at my local petrol station but was refused because the guy who works there said that it is too dangerous to fill such old bottle. So I end up brought it back to burning to do a swap n go. Just check the date on the bottle to make sure it is not too old.
There may have been another stamp on it somewhere as it would likely be illegal for them to sell out of date bottles. Unless it just got missed.
I got annoyed at Masters they'd try to swap a newish bottle (e.g. 2014) for a much older one (e.g. 2007), I ended up having to go thru the bottles myself to find one that was sort of close (e.g. 2012). I noticed quite a few which appeared well out of date (e.g. 2004), with no other obvious recert stamps on the handle. After the 3rd occasion I gave up & went to Bunnings.
@Gravy:
It is not the only bottle. There was a couple that date around 2004-2007.
I tried to talked to 2 employees but they just don't give a crap@bargainfinder: Also try checking the rim at the base of the bottle, I seem to remember my last Bunnings bottle was stamped there (could be wrong though as I don't have that bottle at my place at the moment.)

"You can even swap out-of-date bottles"
I have around 8 bottles, get a few old ones from the tip and when a good special is on get them all stocked up for summer!!Hi
tried today to go to local tip in Baulkham Hills http://www.thehills.nsw.gov.au/Services/For-Residents/Waste-… and asked for an old gas bottle. However was advised that I can only drop them and not allowed to collect anything including gas bottles.
Is is a wrong tip?
My Local in VIC never had an issue i have collected around 15+ 9KG ones and got a 45KG one once.
i always tell them that my kids are using them for an artwork piece and they need to paint them up.
will they notice if i swap my old 4.5kg for the 8.5kg?
Not if you do the transaction with the person operating the braille cash register.
bugger
its an optical illusion.

Another $1ish off with egift card and price beat??
$15.50 at inala derrr if you're passing through. Civic centre
which shop exactly? Thanks.
coming in from cosair ave, like the end where the pawn shop is, that big fruit shop, you will see the sign on a huge blackboard
Chef-Johnson, whereabouts in Inala Civic Centre please? Have scrutinised Google Maps and can find no reference to a gas retailer there.
How much for it if I don't already have a bottle?
I actually bought a brand new (empty) 9L bottle from Masters today for $27.
$56 something for a 9kg
I am so confused. I know of heaps of places you can get cheap bottled gas around Australia but I don't know how to tell you without getting banned. I tried to post about my website that lists all these places but I was banned. My website is not a commercial site. It is purely a free service to the community and does not seek to sell anything. This is my last attempt. If I get banned this time I will just give up here and tell people about it elsewhere.
Just follow the link and discuss with Neil, that way your knowledge can be shared here. It sounds like a good bit of info.
Still available. Advertsied in Sydney Daily Telegraph Friday 23rd
Rocky Racoon - Thank you for your input. This my reply to Moderator Neil. Can you help me please.
No its their site and up to you to discuss with them. I think if you do it privatrely which is what TWAM is all about, you can best resolve it. I really cant help your case. Happy talking!!😀
All good thank you RockyRaccoon. Moderator has shown me the way.
