Finally I can start using the Webber as a heater inside!

  • Wonder if it detects Dutch oven levels of fart activity. Might put one in my son's bedroom.

considering CO gas is toxic to red-blooded animals, if your son is producing CO instead of methane when he farts, he might not be a human.

    • I sell a USB based sensor to pick up methane + other VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that contribute to bad air quality. but I'm guessing self-promotion is not allowed here so I won't link to any product.

      • Do you sell corks as a companion product?

        • better out than in :p

      • if you posted a deal separately and declared your connection then i dont see it as a problem?

Why are these in Woolworths? People would be buying them thinking they are smoke alarms :(

A CO alarm is NOT A SUBSTITUTE for other combustible gas, fire or smoke alarms.

Households will ideally have both detectors installed, particularly for those with gas heating.

    • Why are these in Woolworths? People would be buying them thinking they are smoke alarms :(

Would you prefer that they are only sold at specialist carbon monoxide alarm shops?

Please stop freaking out! This is marketed as a CO alarm and as far as I can see there's nothing on the packaging indicating it can be used as a smoke alarm.

    • FFS, what?
      "…thinking they are smoke alarms…"

      You're taking the piss, right?
If someone buys an item CLEARLY marked as a "carbon monoxide" alarm and not a smoke alarm, let Darwinism do its thing…

  • Bought mine from bunnings for the garage. Tinkering around with old car and then the bike……always pays to know I'm gonna wake up should I have too many beers
