So we've all been duped on how good this machine is worth $499?
I don't think "worth" is the correct term as you are not buying the coffee machine as a financial investment.
The machine previously sold for $499. Was it a good buy at the price? Debatable.
Is the mahcine worth $143.20? It is doubtful you could sell it second hand for that price even new in the box.Many of the products we buy have considerable mark-up. This is how retailers make a profit.
if u noticed ALL coffee machine companies have big sales at the moment, including nespresso. After a week or 2 they will all go back to original price
I have to admit I was duped. I didn't seriously expect it was worth $499, but if I knew the going price of this machine would be $143 a few days later, probably wouldn't have purchased one over the weekend, definitely taken the shine off the original deal.
Hang on, you paid $6 more but got 80 pods that this deal doesn't have…might be time to take a step back for a bit of perspective on your dramatic loss, eh?
We're talking about the perceived quality of the machine irrespective of pods included or not.
I wasn't swayed because of the 80 pods, I pulled the trigger mainly because of the savings on the machine which I perceived to be quality based on the RRP and high street/going price.

Although that one had an extra $50 worth of free capsules (i dont think we will see that offer ever again as Map themselves were overwhelmed by it)
