  • Thanks mate!

  • Thanks heaps, signup was quick too.

  • How does this compare to signing up via Velocity?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/258331

    • Different pricing per delivery.

  • +3

Confirmed that you can still sign up without NRMA credentials

    Offer Closes 2015?

    • 'The offer period may be extended at the sole discretion of the provider.'

    • +1

Have you checked to see if it worked before negging?

    • +1

Shows 31 july 2017 for me. Try signing up then going to account settings before you neg.

    • You are fast with the neg - 1 hour after that detail appeared in original deal description, & after others comments it does work.

      • -3

Would have hoped someone would have fixed error in 1hr…but hey what are details on Ozbargain?

        • +2

Did you read the description above?

The MyNRMA website is where is shows the 15/12/2015 expiry date which is why I said you might want to be quick before they realise and close it off. There's no error to 'fix'.

        • +2

You mean the Deal Description details at the bottom you failed to read, then the comments that it worked??

        • +1

@Infidel: Interesting to see if this offer is retracted by Sendle?

        • @PLANT:
          True, true. A valid comment.

Has happened with other deals. Hope people don't get upset if that happens.

1 year membership gives them plenty of time to react - when they see all the new members. But maybe they'll be overjoyed with the publicity & increased business.

  • Thanks, great find!

  • Does this work for SGIC members?

  • apart from the 500g selection all other rates are roughly $2-$5 more expensive… but then saying this what is the "Premium Service" being offered?

    • +3

Which company do you use thats cheaper for the other rates?
(Not doubting you just want the cheapest rates)

    • Premium compared to the 'Easy' level of membership I guess.

The only advantage Sendle has over eBay rates through Australia Post, Sendle pickup instead of you going to the post box.

  • +1

Seems like 500g satchels are $7.15 almost anywhere which is the same as eBay auspost satchels.

I run a small eBay store and send most things as large letters for $2 in padded envelopes as long as it is less than 20mm thick. The next step up for something greater than 20 mm thick is a $7.15 500g satchel. Does anyone know a way to post small items for less than $7 in a satchel?

    • Not unless you can get into the Chinese posting ring where you can somehow send parcels to anywhere in Australia via StarTrack 'untracked' for a couple dollars.

No matter how much I search, I can never find the 'untracked' rate on the StarTrack website…

    • Sames issue here - if you find a solution please let me know ;-)

  • Nice. I like Sendle. Thanks OP!

Edit: oh… I can't get this since I'm already signed up?

    • That's odd

    • +3

Just click on "Login to Upgrade", top right hand of the screen… I just did that myself and it worked, no probs.
Thanks for the deal, op! :-)

      • Okay, I don't know why I couldn't find that. Thanks!

  • +1

Thanks OP, this helps a lot for my independent lighting business.

  • Sendle uses couriers please for shipment. They are garbage

As a business you will regret using them

    • +1

      Really depends on the franchisee.
Been using C/Please for sending out, no issues so far. Yet a PC store sent me a CPU and the local Fastway franchisee just dropped it behind the fence while the consigment says 'signature required'.

    • +2

Couriers Please and Fastway have been good for me. So has Sendle.

    • -6

This fact alone means this deal is neg worthy, you're items will never reach their intended recipient.

        *your

        • I'm only here to be edumercated..

  • +1

What is it? Postage company or something??

Edit: yep, it is.. similar prices to AusPist though, ie: https://shop.auspost.com.au/product/parcel-post-small-500g-s… 500gram satchel $7.84, compared to $7.15 (same city/between cities) - $13.35 (remote) (Inc. discount). AusPost also included the satchel in that price.

May benefit some for bigger parcels locally (and MAYBE between cities), but for smaller and remote parcels you're gonna be paying more once you factor in packaging.

Edit2: I think their business model is cheap local deliveries - that'd make sense; that's where they're really cheap.

  • It's free

  • +2

Guys, as my comment on the previous post, please be aware of the $100 excess if you want to make insurance claim with these guys

    • Which you will defiantly need to thanks to the use of couriers please

  • take note they charge more to deliver to remote area.

  • +1

    Ignore the naysayers.

    Sendle are absolutely brilliant.

    Been using them since February.

    • Sendle is just another layer when things go wrong. They are the agent with the account not you. So when you need to claim something from insurance they will need to do it for you are they are technically the sender. How good is their customer service? Fastway has 48 hour disclaimer for claims which means if Sendle delay then no pay for you.

If you must use Fastway or couriers please. You can get cheaper prices just by going to their own website. For example $7.95 Sydney to Sydney upto 10kg with no account and no mimimum.

Once again I would discourage people from using these services based on my own personal experience. If you need to check how good they are call any of them at 4pm and see if they even pickup the phone.

      • +1

For the VAST majority, using SENDLE would be SIGNFICANTLY cheaper than going direct.

The reason being you will access the top tier (highest volume) courier pricing via Sendle because, as you point out, "Sendle are technically the sender"

The other advantage, is you will get the benefit of the cheapest rate out of the two couriers. Ie. If Fastaway can deliever a particular job cheaper than Couriers Pls, sendle will allocate the job accordingly.

I have placed insurance claims via Sendle…no problem.

Yes, Sendle operate as the middle man whenever there is an issue, but they have followed up every issue without a problem.

Once again, I would say… Ignore the naysayers.

I signed up to Sendle hoping for a good courier service and have been totally let down

Sent a package from Sydney to Melbourne on Monday - it's now Friday and it has not arrived and I'm getting no updates from Sendle

Does anyone have the email address of the CEO James Moody? He sent an automated email asking for feedback and I'd love to provide some!

I suggest staying away from this service

  • Opened the account, sent just 6 parcels and already having issues with Sendle.
They are saying that, as per courier, the address is not accurate and they want me to pay more for re-delivery. Checked the address with the customer, on Google map and the address is correct. Sendle service is just pathetic !
Will not recommend anyone using it no matter what deal they try to offer to sign you up.

    • Like I said they are just the middle man and pass on to the customer any garbage the couriers says in order not to deliver the parcel. They will not deal with it unless you ring them 5-10 times or in this case pay more
