Sendle Courier Services - Velocity: Bonus 100 Points with 1 Parcel, 1000 Points with 5+ Parcels, 10000 Points with 100+ Parcels

This is my first post so hopefully I get this right, I don't normally talk up a business but essentially the story goes like this.

I ordered shoes online they were too small so had to return them (shoebox size parcel at 3kg).

Naturally I went to Aus Post and they quoted me $22 for 3-5days shipping to Sydney with me having to drop it off (I'm based in north Brisbane btw) I thought this was a bit rich looked online to see if there were any other options and that's where I found Sendle.

Sendle picked the parcel up from my house and had it delivered next day to Sydney for $10.75. I have only used them once but will definitely use them again. You couldn't ask for better service and their communication was top notch. They do deliveries for both businesses and domestic.

To the point of this post they have teemed up with Velocity and have a referral deal on at the moment as follows.

Follow these steps to get the bonus velocity points:

Join using a referral link from the referral wiki and the following applies

Sign up and send one (1) or more parcels receive 100 velocity points
Sign up and send five (5) or more parcels receive 1000 velocity points
Sign up and send one hundred (100) or more parcels receive 10,000 velocity points

Referrer will get the same bonus velocity points.

They are perfect, except for the horrible insurance policy excess of $100 per claim

do they do online tracking? seem like a good alternative for sending ebay item for paypal claim.

    • Yep online tracking with signature on delivery included for free

      • Yep online tracking with signature on delivery included for free

It's not really free, but rather hidden in the shipping cost.

  • I got regular email updates about the delivery, but according to their website they have online tracking.

Be warned, they will spam the daylights out of your inbox.

    • Never had any spam from them. Check your subscription settings.

  • OP, can you provide some information on this offer? Can't find anything that refers to the bonus points, even when using your original link.

Edit: Please also clarify what the referrer gets. Thanks.

  • I've also used them and was happy with their service & tracking.

  • I love sendle. I can confirm that I also received this offer in an email from sendle a few ago.

    • Thanks, can you clarify what the referrer gets?

Feel free to add your referral link at the end of the wiki page if you wish.

Both parties receive the same amount of points, so if the person who is referred gets 10,000 the referrer also gets 10,000.

Will definitely add my name to the referral page, once I'm off my phone and on my PC. Thanks!

  • My understanding is the referrer receives the equivalent in velocity points.

    • Thanks

Where can I find my referral link?

  • "I ordered shoes online they were too small so had to return them"

Next time use paypal if you can, they'll pay for shipping

    • Paypal 4 returns a year

  • Which courier do these guys use? Are they the carrier or just an agency? If they contract couriers please or Fastway expect lots of insurance claims

    • Correct - they are collaborating with Couriers Please and Fastway!

My experience with couriers please was that they left a $1100 parcel at the front door with no authority to do so. It obviously got stolen and I am still waiting on insurance claim after 2 months and many many phone calls. Their customer service staff are hopeless. One of the worst ever.

Fastway is similar but a tiny bit better. Not by much though.

These companies are cheap but when things go wrong they will not deal with it without you calling multiple times

        • My friend had the same experience with UPS (As I remembered) . $1000+ parcel got stolen.

        • @echocs: Startrack did the same when I bought $1000 worth of stuff from JB. Got home to see 5 large boxes just sitting on my door step, lucky no one took anything

  • I used Sendle recently and they were absolute garbage.

Parcel was picked up 4 days after the initial pick up date, sat in their office for 5 days before they got around to sending it on, then acted like they were doing me a huge favour by sending it in the first place and I should be grateful they were sending the package. Repeatedly asked for phone calls that never happened. It was a lot of stuffing around, customer service was absolutely horrendous and you're lucky to get an email from the once a day if you have a problem.

I'm not the only person I know of that have had these issues with them. They seemed great at the time but personally, I wouldn't use them again.

    • This was our exact experience. We use sendle to send small packages between our offices in Syd - Mel CBD.

Sometimes they would pickup next day and sometimes they would take 3-4 days and you need to waste time chasing it up.

  • I already have a Sendle account - where can I find my Sendle referral link?

    • Looks like it's targeted to those who signed up using a referral only.

  • Opened the account, sent just 6 parcels and is already having issues with Sendle.
They are saying that, as per courier, the address is not accurate and they want me to pay more for re-delivery. Pathetic !
