  • can i use these capsules in a nespresso lattissima?

    • +1

No, the lattissima uses the far, FAR superior Nespresso capsules. Dolce Gusto is cheap rubbish.

      • +1

The cappuccino has skim milk powder?
This is why I stick to real coffee, bro.

        • You don't have to use the included milk capsule if you don't want for many of the range.

        • A lot of people forget that these Nescafe machines are built for convenience, which rids the need of a separate milk frother

          @tranqme:

I can't imagine why you would use powdered milk. Horrible stuff.

        • @dbun1:

For convenience, as stated in my previous reply.

Personally, I don't mind the taste of the Café Au Lait pods, and I'm quite picky when it comes to milk.

      • -1

The lettissima is far inferior to a decent non pod espresso machine. The only reason to get a pod machine is for coffee variety cup to cup.

  • Wow thanks! I've been looking for these capsules to buy for my Nan! Bonus freebie to give away :)

  • Thanks. Ordered a bunch of different pods and the machine to add to my collection.
Now I think I've bought every different type of capsule machine there is!
These machines getting a bit like disposable printers.

  • Thank you… and ozbargain…. got one…

  • +2

    Dolce Gusto is a trap.

You're locked into buying their pods. It's like buying a cheap printer that only works with the manufacturers own overpriced ink.

I like pod machines for convenience and ease of use, but at least with Nespresso there's a host of different players making compatible pods at much cheaper prices. Nespresso compatible pods are regularly included in weekly specials. But you never see Dolce Gusto pods discounted in Coles or Woolworths. They know they have you over a barrel.

The only site selling compatible pods for Dolce Gusto is espressoland, but at $8 per box it's cheaper to buy the real thing.

I got caught, it worked OK but it was cheaper to throw away and buy a Nespresso compatible machine. Having a wider choice of flavours is good too.

    • Having owned pretty much all the different machine types available, I think if you find one or two variants of good tasting pods it's good enough.
I'm taking a gamble on this purchase, but Amazon reviews the flavours positively and I pay the same amount for my lavazza

    • Can you list the choices of flavors offered by Nespresso that aren't available as Nescafe pods?

  • I bought one, TBH the fact it was the mini edition made the difference. Is that sad?…

    • Nah I bought it for the same reason (that plus it was free)

  • Did anyone who ordered get a free box of nesquik added to their cart?
Mine was there before paying but disappeared after checking out

    • I did get a free box all the way through the check out process, I did order some boxes of Nesquick as well though.

      • was the free box still on your tax invoice?

mine wasn't… it was there all the way but after i paid it disappeared from the tax invoice.

And yes, i ordered a box of it too…

  • How many capsules in a box?

    • +1

Sixteen, although half are coffee and half are powdered milk pods, therefore only eight coffees per box.

      • Thanks!

      • Depends on the style of pod. Some types don't have extra milk pods so 16 coffee per box.

        • +1

Correct, although they were referring to the pods in this deal which are the Cappuccino pods.

  • +1

Cheers, OP! Got 20 skinny cappuccino for $99.80 with the bonus coffee machine and 1 box of Nesquik chocolate :).

This will be my fourth coffee machine now, all courtesy of Ozbargain, LOL.

    • Also did the same! Even if its not 'that great' it works out to 62c a coffee…..and a free machine at the end you could potentially sell after.

      • It's doubtful that there is any market for a 2nd hand machine like these, the powdered milk tastes like baby formula nothing like real milk, and the peculiar aroma permeates the coffee. I've tried a couple in DJs and couldn't get past the smell, but without the milk pods you can get a similar quality to Nespresso, just larger sizes (Nespresso pods are the smallest on the market so you need 2 pods per cup, where the Gusto has large enough pods you can get away with a single pods per cup).

  • +3

if you add 20 then remove one u only need to pay for 19 because of free nesquik so $94

  • Thank you OP! It's a great deal bargain anyway :-) happy to have an automatic machine to replace the manual one I got one year agao

  • Hi, can anyone tell me this machine can use other brands pods? Like Coles brand pods? Or it can only run with the specific pods. Thanks.

    • See comment above. Only at Espressoland.

    • No - you are better off waiting for a deal on a Nespresso machine (which you can get for <$100) and then you'll be able to use a wider range of capsules across a range of budgets. Or, get a Caffitaly machine that has a good range of aftermarket pods too.

The Nescafé pod coffee is horrible - it literally tastes like Blend 43 in a pod.

  • Cool!

  • Received mine today. Came in a weird box that made it seem definitely not for normal sale. The machine is quite nice and I like the mini logo on the side. It has a normal AUS plug. Couldn't find any $10 discount code as mentioned on the Nescafe website you get with new machines.

Everything together was pretty dahm huge for the cost of only $98.50 or so. I got to try the skinny cappuccino and the Nesquik so far. The skinny cappuccino tastes like an instant coffee with whitener almost. I put some rapadura sugar and it was pretty dahm good indeed. Without anything added it was pretty bland indeed and the actual coffee on the bottom end of expectations.

The skinny cappuccino is made in UK and expires 02/2017.

The Nesquik was pretty ok, but honestly I much prefer it cold. While there is 16 in the box you would easily make two per serving for it to be 300ml. 150ml per serving is just so small.

I have a Nespresso Pixie Clips, and with the Aerroccino3 it is possible to make really dahm good coffee for the effort involved. There is simply way too much range to not have a Nespresso for the cost of one. Nespresso definitely seems better especially since I can actually get the coffee cheaper than Dolce Gusto.

  • mine arrived today… box for all the pods and machine was giant…
The capsules (or at least hte packaging) must be way bigger than the ones i use for my lavazza and vittoria machines.

At a guess, this MINI machine is a promo item that i assume customers who purchased a MINI branded car got for free. The packaging of the machine is generic/plain white, except for the small hologram sticker saying it's a licensed BMW product.
