    Maximum amount of RAM before you have to license windows I believe…some should be able to confirm if that's that's just for tablets though?

      screen size is larger than 8.1 inches, the vendor would need to pay for license.

      the 2GB RAM is just cost cutting.

    Its a bloody good point. Buy Acer, wipe drive (or upgrade to SSD) and clean install Windows. Other than form factor there is no advantage.
