    So they mark each one?

    • They certainly do 👍

given the price increases on Telstra/Optus tix

When did they increase the prices ????

    • +1

OP probably meant increase in discounted tickets as per telco perks

    • Optus = Were $10, now $11
Telstra - Were $10, then $11, now $12.50 (Event Cinemas, which aren't part of this promo anyway)

      • That went up a long time ago though.

  • Optus perks have changed you now have to buy the tickets for the actual movie each time. Do you know if these tickets can just be used at will?

    • These are movie vouchers, so no you don't have to use them straight away.
Buy now, gets emailed to you, and you have 6 months to use them

Reading Cinemas All Standard Tickets $10 (3D $12.50)

      Yeah I know :)

  • Also available at Wallis cinemas in SA.

I also discovered some cinemas also have a 'last minute' booking available for movies that aren't booked out, similar to the ones was flights - book on the same day (or the night before) and you can often get tickets for $11 - share on facebook and it's another $2 cheaper, bringing the price down to $9 a ticket. Cheapest I've found so far but choices will be limited.

Is it coincidence this comes about as Mars quietly cut about 10% out of these packets !?

  • I just bought this deal and only received 1 ticket - which cosy $21, no different from if I bought it at the cinema. so something is wrong with their two for one offer at the moment

  • +1

Jut bought a pair of tickets. These are better than Optus since there was no extra charge for Xtremescreen, but they did charge a booking fee. Still cheaper though.

  • Merged from Maltesers "2 for 1 Movies"

Browsing the sweets aisle of Woolworths the other day, I noticed Maltesers are running a "2 for 1" movie ticket promotion with the purchase of a pack of Maltesers.

I don't goto the movies often, but I figured it might be nice to goto the local movie theatre (Nelson Bay) sometime.

Nelson Bay cinema is participating, as are all the majors and many independents.

"2 for 1" is very misleading though.

Nelson Bay cinema charge $16.50 per adult ticket.

The Maltesers offer gives you two tickets for $21.

    Not sure how anyone determines 2 x $16.50 tickets for $21 to be "2 for 1" ????

Misleading and deceptive conduct by Maltesers labelling this "2 for 1".

My local independent cinema (Nelson Bay) charges a MAXIMUM of $16.50 per ticket.

This deal is 2 for $21.

Hardly "2 for 1" - nothing against the OP, but very misleading by Maltesers…

    • Cmon… It's 1 independent, when most would use it for Hoyt's/Event, which are that expensive

      • -1

The packets feature a massive "2 for 1" sign.

Then in tiny font on the back it does say "Two movie vouchers for $21".

Maltesers should put "2 for $21" on the front in big font, not "2 for 1".

Otherwise it is simply misleading and deceptive. I will be emailing the ACCC.

    • Oh and my title says "2 for $21" just FYI…

      • -1

Yeah no gripe with you Spackbace - you have done what Maltesers should have.

Issue is the misleading conduct of Maltesers.

        accc-complaint:77982 lodged.

  • Anyone want a spare code for this?

I have been holding onto two codes, just using one now.
