Normally Pro Photographers use these.
Thanks :)
Would this be any good for calibrating a TV or projector for home theatre use ? Or really only for specific colour/temp matching for photographers etc..
If you don't know it you don't need it, save your money :)
that is not ozbargain spirit, buy it even you dont know what is it
If it is a bargain you need it…..work out what it does later, bargains wait for no one! If it is a big enough bargain you can always change careers and take up photography to justify the purchase!
Me either! I want one…i think…
Thanks for posting this, I've been waiting for them to go back on sale.
Thanks mate…gonna get one to see how it compares to the Spyder 3…been tempted to upgrade with the last couple of deals.
I bought an i1 to replace a Spyder3. Id never go back to Datacolor and their shitty borderline-unusable 90s software.
Not to mention it actually calibrates wide gamut monitors properly.
Thanks mate.
Look forward to trying it out when it gets here.
How does this compare to the Spyder 5 Express? Not sure if I'm colour blind but calibrating using the Spyder has made the whites more bluish ..
On my monitor a Dell 27" it had RGB sliders that I can adjust. It helps getting a blue cast of the monitor which is present when it's not calibrated.
If it's a newer Ultrasharp, it can calibrate automatically without having to fiddle with sliders. You just need the Dell-specific software.

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDet…If your monitor is calibrated incorrectly, getting it correct always makes it look wrong. It's a mindexplosion the first few times you do it :-)
Seriously!! Not even sure of my colours anymore.. Haven't yet printed .. Guess that might give me an idea of what the colours should look like on my monitor.
@Dealayed: Do make sure your monitor is capable of producing good colours first though. Otherwise it'll never be correct.
@eug: it's a HP 25xi http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_…
@Dealayed: Mmm can't find good reviews, but the spec page says it covers 72% NTSC which usually means 100% sRGB. It's an IPS panel too. Should be good!
@eug: Thanks mate
Damn it, I just brought it from digidirect last sale 241$
Far better than the Spyder.
Would this be any good for standard led tv?
I read the title and the description, but still have no idea what this is, or what its good for………
