When we went to the Philippines a couple of months ago we used FC's price beat guarantee, they beat Qantas' online price by a few dollars and waived the 1% or 1.5% credit card surcharge (I think it's in their T&C's that they waive it) plus we didn't have to pay Qantas' online booking fees! Never had any issues with FC, not sure what these Gold Packages would be like though.
if u got cheaper fare somewhere else, printed it and bring to them for price beat. so far no problem at all for me. and they always waived my cc fee (inclusive my amex)
Or you could probably save more by booking everything yourself when the right specials come up.
Case in point, I got FC to quote a number of domestic flights in the US, they came back with AU$1498. Expedia.com and a couple hours of my time, US$800. Both inclusive of all taxes and airline baggage fees.
