Previously posted at this price a couple of years ago. These are a great portable socket /bit set. About $20 cheaper than any wear else I could find. Sent via toll courier, the set I received arrived less than 24 hours after ordering.

It's a good price for a good brand. Whether it's useful is another issue.
If it only has four sockets why did you list 5 sizes?
Perhaps this is better value.
It's unbranded and therefore pointless to compare.
Wow, 3 neg votes for posting an alternative. This site really is full of people who equate name brands with quality, even if they don't purchase or use them regularly, and thus have no idea about them.
Pointless to compare? Unless you've used them, I don't think you can knock them.
Metallurgy has come a long way since the 80's, made in Taiwan junk.
I'd be willing to bet this kit is made in China too, and is of equal quality to the kit I posted.
Made in Taiwan means better quality than PR China nowadays. Unbranded products provide no means of comparison. Metallurgy and Chinese suppliers in the same sentence should be enough to send shivers down your spine on unbranded products. I didn't neg you, but can understand why others did. It's simply irrelevant.
Somedays I feel like Frank Grimes…
Just because both products come in the same colour box does not make them comparable quality.

I'd be willing to bet there are more than 3 members here who are familiar enough with Bahco quality to know there is no comparison to the product you've linked. Even if this wasn't true, there are enough reviews online to give people an idea of the quality of Bahco v no name junk.

Does that mean that you've used the Bahco and no name in order to offer us the "better value" alternative? Perhaps you could give us a review?

How about quality of the ratchets (smooth movement, skipping, jamming & changing direction) in the two products?
6pt v 12pt sockets?
Crappy plastic handles that will shatter, snap or just come loose?
I have no idea as to the quality of the kit I posted. While I'll agree that the Bahco kit is probably good quality, I believe the kit I linked to is more useful.
12 point vs 6 point? The largest socket is 13mm (M8), it's hardly going to damage a socket undoing 25nM.
Shattering handles? Jeez, they're small nuts, not engine head bolts.
I get it, you don't like the kit I linked to. I'm glad the Bahco kit with it's 5 sockets is all you ever need in a compact cheap set.
Bahco is quality. I dont think you will find a single person with a clue who would say otherwise.
Is your shitty chinese alternative decent? Who knows. But I guess that's why people pay a premium for brands with a history of quality output.
@AlisonP: the single point here is that undoubtedly the Bahco is going to be good quality, and the kit you posted could be anything. For the size of the bahco kit you could buy an equivalent cheapy and probably see no difference for small appliance work etc, if you were to go up in size and use it on a car you could thrash the kit on the first turn, esp since the kit you linked to goes larger. If you found a smaller cheap shit kit for less I would say it's a fair comparison and may be worth saving the $20 if it was only 10, but the increase in size of this kit is likely going to make it a liability
All valid points on a 1/4" set but what I was getting at is that there's more to differentiate a quality and rubbish socket set than metallurgy.
No one has suggested that a 5 socket set is all anyone will need and it's a pity that's what you took out of it. I've worked in jobs where a small set like this is a handy addition to the kit and would have been happy to spend the $30ish on something to make the day easier.
I prefer to buy quality tools that are comfortable and reliable. Doesn’t have to be Snapon or Festool but there's an easily distinguishable line between quality and cheap and nasty. I've never understood the logic behind buying cheapies that inevitably fail.
Thanks, was looking to buy Topeak Ratchet Rocket Lite Tool but this better price.

This one has a proper ratchet handle and more sockets for $48.20
I got that exact set from last deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/168666#comment free
Love it
Bought this awhile back from a local shop and the quality is second to none. The ratchet is smooth. Comes in very handy in an IT kit handy for difficult to reach spots due to the size
Thank you. These look identical, if not very similar to the teng tools kit. Re-branded perhaps? Have used these for years now and they are an absolute life saver when trying to get into tight spots. You can get similar mini ratchets from Bunnings but this is THE lowest profile by far.
Add this to your toolbox if you don't already have one. A MUST have!
The teng tools mini ratchet alone is the same price on ebay as this bahco kit. Don't need one because my teng set is still going strong after all these years, but this bahco one is such good value I just had to get another!!
Thanks op.

Bahco are a premium brand within the Snap On family.
Great price for premium quality tools.
only has four socket bits: 6 - 7 - 8 - 10 - 13 mm
The rest are driver bits. Not really a deal in my opinion.
