  • Hmm…

Thats March and June this year?…

Well i got my n97 last august or whenever they came out. Anyone know if i'd still be able to get this because if i could, id use my phone alot more than what i do now.

    • 2010, so if you bought it last year then probably no dice. May as well give em a call, nothing to lose.

    • Doesn't appear that they require proof of purchase? If so, how would they know the date of purchase just by having the IMEI?

      • thats what im thinking, oh well i'll give it a try and post back my results.

  • and to think…. i just bought one for my phone 2 days ago. #@%##$)^#

  • Thanks Neil! Didn't get that with mine, so glad you posted this one:)

  • Thanks a lot. I bought an after market one for my 5800 but it won't hurt to get a genuine one for free! =]

  • My girlfriend has an N97 but I reckon she'll be too lazy to order one herself. Like one of the people above had asked, does it require proof of purchase?

    • no it doesnt, geez she must be lazy, it is a phone call and email for a free genuine car kit

  • Awesome. If i only it the year was 2009, i would be eligible. I wonder if there's any point in me rigning up. I would like one.

  • I am ringing them. I get no response. Just ringing again and again and again until it disconnects :(

  • I rang someone picked up after half a ring, they sent me an email requesting the following information:

    Dear

Please reply to this email by filling in the required information below.

Please note, the IMEI number begins with 35 or 36 and is 15 digits long. It can be found on the outside of the box that your handset came in or you can find it under the battery in your handset.

    Required customer information

    Full Name

    Day time delivery address

    (Signature required)

    IMEI Number of Handset

    Place (store) of purchase

    Date of purchase

    Model

  • What's the email address? They weren't picking up for me this afternoon.

Thanks, I emailed them my info.
Do you think it will work considering I didn't call them up first and give them my email address like you did?

      • No reall need to call them, cause they're getting your email address and name when you send the thing through. This is all they ask you when you call.
However, they send you an email and tell you to enter te information in the section provided (a little html form), so i assume your email to them would just have the plain text.

When people entered in the place(store) of purchase, did you just put for example "telstra", or did you put "Telstra Chermside Shopping center"?

  • Thanks for the post.
Got confirmation via email they have shipped mine today. Make sure you tell them the date you purchased the phone is within the dates 1st March and 30th June 2010 or you won't get anything.

  • I rang yesterday, got the email within minutes and a confirmation by late arvo. Thanks again…:)

  • Got my confirmation today, within 1 day, very happy. Hope to get it early next week, my generic one is sticking onto the windscreen very well anymore.

  • I got mine too, I was hoping it had air/con vent connectors but it only has suction cup. So I will continue to use my after market holder, but have swapped out the generic car charger for the genuine Nokia one :) Sweet bargain!

  • For those who received it: was it delivered by Australia Post, or some other company?

  • Off-topic, but anyone have VOIP running on the n97/n97 mini?

    • Through Gizmo5 I had it working. But Google bought them out, and discontinued the project.

    • I have MyNetFone working on the N97 mini. It also worked on the N97. I just use it for outgoing calls.

(haha i'm 2 months late in replying!)

  • This is not a car kit, it's a DC charger and window suction cup mount - total waste of time and space.

Does any body know of a real car kit for this phone?
