        • To buy a bracket converting 200x200 to 200x400 would cost more than a new mount.

If you're slightly handy you can just get some aluminium flat bars and some screws to convert 200 to 400. The TV is really light so I would have no qualms using aluminium.

        • @eug: Hi guy, is it easy to screw this bracket into the wall? Any tips? Thanks

  • This 5% coupon being mentioned, can that be used in store or only for online purchases?

    • Not sure, but I thought it was only for wicked Wednesday.

      • I see. No probs, still a good price.

Picked one up today. For the price it's great value and the picture quality is good but not excellent. This unit is the same price instore and there were 5 left on the floor in Artarmon, probably more out the back. Working perfectly with my Google Chromecast Dongle 2.0. The speakers aren't as horrendous as on the budget 39.5" Dick Smith TV bargain a while back but the sound is still unacceptably poor so you'll want to get some 2.1 Logitech speakers or a soundbar. Great value for money TV if smart functionality doesn't interest you.

  • Picked up this TV today. Very impressed with the price and quality.

Also JB hifi only gives 1 year warranty for TVs under $500

    • Yep. I paid with citi cc for the extra year.

Aussie consumer law will cover you regardless as a brand new TV should be expected to last longer than one year.

        • Picked up tonight to. Still in the box though.
I paid the extra $40 for extra 2 years.

        • How would you claim warranty after first year then?

        • Theres a phone number you call, give them the details. reciept etc.. and select the store you want to return to

if you read the insert manual that comes with it, it says you get 3 years total warranty if you register the TV online

  • I've got the older 32" HD and one thing I will say about the Soniqs is, for the money, the media playback is awesome.

I know JB also offer a replacement extended care on those models for an extra 2 years but I'm not sure of the price.

    • first movie we tried to watch - audio not supported, doh.

      second movie chosen worked

Can someone please share image settings for this tv.. there are ones mentioned on whirlpool if you found any that worked please share.

  • Have purchased, picked up Tuesday. PQ is as expected, changed setting to "mild" for some improvement, yet to experiment more, or attach speakers (but generally happy).

There is a definite, constant high pitched noise that occurs when the TV is on; it begins after the Soniq logo appears, and ends when TV is turned off/standby mode (99% drowned out by playback sound ~ TV vol @ 30).

    Confirmed 3 years warranty.

Registered e-warranty online https://www.soniq.com/au . It showed only 1 year warranty, sent email to [email protected] yesterday.
Received amended email with updated 3 years warranty (plus the 1 year credit card warranty, it's 4 years in total).

    • what did you say to get the 3 year warranty? I registered mine and it states the 1 year also.

        • yep, I also initially got 1 year.
contacted and stated that pamphlet in box says 3 years.
a day or so later got the message to say it has been corrected to be 3 years (they say need to keep email, although logging in to account shows as 3 years also)

    • Thanks sheenzhaox, you meant [email protected]

I think it is 5 years total, CC double your warranty but no more than 5 years.

    • Thank you! I ignored the pamphlet, and will now register.

    • Thank you for the instructions. Yes the booklet does show 3 years, however need to chase them up as after registering for my mum still only 1 year on email. So we need it to be written or amended.

Thanks for the info to send them an email
