Mucking around with the Spotify app for Windows 10 Desktop when I stumbled across the 'Lyrics' button in the app. Musixmatch provide the lyrics and they scroll up the page in the Spotify app in sync to the music. (Very VERY cool for music nerds like me)
While playing around with it discovered that they are giving away the in-app purchase of 1 year ad free within the app.

UNFORTUNATELY, the Windows Phone app (I have a Lumia 930 with Windows 10) ONLY Recognises Groove Music and Nokia MixRadio in the settings. So no joy for Spotify on Windows Phone BUT…if you are die-hard Windows eco-system nut and use Groove, suspect it may be useful to you.

Furthermore the Musixmatch standalone app seems to sync up with Microsoft services. Sooooo….if you are a heavy user of XBOX live (I am not) and have a lot of music with that it appears you can link up the app with that. If you have heaps of music on your local machine it appears the desktop app will scan your folders and allow you to play the lyrics karaoke style just like the the Spotify app does. Ad free for now.

Take it for a spin and get the words right to your fave tunes :)

Kinda neat IMHO.
(Protip: If you click the lyric in the Spotify desktop app..it will automagically jump to that part in the song where that lyric is sung)

    It working for me, just very poorly. Too bad genius song lyrics app not on windows phone.

    Android and iOS versions available, too. Not Windows only. Very nice app that just works.

        MusixMatch is a start-up seeking to build the widest possible audience. It makes sense for them to reach out to users on multiple platforms.

        Incidentally, unlike many lyrics services before it, its lyrics are fully licensed from rights holders.

  As a reminder…if you have Spotify, no need to get the Win10 Desktop app. It's built into the Win10 Spotify Desktop App.
