How to connect this to Windows without buying a receiver?

    • +2

      Comes with the dongle :)
      That's why it's 'for windows'

      • Thanks saw it in the pic.

      • Too bad if you installed iOS on your ps4

      • Where does it say that it comes with a dongle?

        • I should've said receiver. Look at the pics, look at the box :)

        • Ah, yep. Legend.

You either buy the PC wired version or a receiver (genuine or cheap ebay knock off). I don't believe there is another way but this one has the receiver anyway so you're good to go

Loved the annual Microsoft cashback deal!

  • Can we use this for XB360 only? (might be a stupid question)

    • Yes, as in no you can't use it on XB1

    • Can we use this for XB360 only?

It has a fairly obvious answer.

Works on PC with included dongle, or on XB360 without dongle.

Won't work 'out of the box' for Wii or Playstation or Sega Megadrive or Android or …. (insert any other gaming console here)

    • Works on Raspberry Pi with RetroPi

  • I thought you could use it remotely for the xbox one via remote play? Can anybody confirm.

  • meh. same price at umart all year round.

    • free delivery makes a difference. umart was $39 + $16 for AusPost. so significant saving for some of us.

    Perfect timing!

    • As a ozbargainer you should wait until next Microsoft cashback.

      • Lol it's been over a year since the last one… Would you wait that long to have a player 2?

        • -1

ozbargainers always stock up something they may not need at that moment but may need one day.

        • Still waiting on a good deal for a player 2

  • Given Microsoft is stopping the production of xbox 360 I wonder if this means cheaper prices, but fewer deals as stock starts to run out.

Thanks for deal, picked up a couple

    Cheers!

  • Still haven't used mine from last year's cashback deal. Could anyone recommend ways to use them on pc? Preferably multiplayer

    • You plug in the included USB dongle, and that's it

Windows auto detects it. The dongle has a sync button, you can press that, and you can have up to 4 controllers wirelessly with windows on the one dongle, press their sync buttons in the order you want them to be (controller 1->4) and that's it

I bought one from https://www.wireless1.com.au and got it last week, (Also $39, free delivery) works a treat.

      • Yea I meant games or programs to use them with

        • Most any game really. I've yet to come across a game that accepts controllers that these don't work with.

Almost every game that's come out over the past years works with them, search for the type of games you like on Steam, there's a lot on there! (plus they say whether they support controllers or not)

        • @spoco2: so…got any recommendations?

  • Works on Android?

    • Pretty sure you can plug it in using usb otg

      • Got one as soon as read your comment. Thx

        • You should also be able to plug in the wireless dongle, and then play wireless on your phone… which is maybe only useful for a tablet (for the bigger screen)

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you get this for the same price instore @ CPL?
    Link To CPL

    • wow the wired controller is only $27 there lol, too far though

does anyone know if jbhifi price matches?

      • +1

I picked up the wired controller from CPL the other day as well haha and it's great!

Also I don't think jbhifi price matches, and even then i think most places won't match CPL for some reason (At Officeworks we don't always)

  • 2012 purchased for $40each.
All 4 works a treat still.

N64 Mario Kart Battles via rom

    • you need to invest in n64 replica controllers for the real experience :D

      • Invest?
        Lol

        • nothing quite like the n64 controller!

      • Don't get the cheap Chinese ones they are crap.

        • i did, and they're fine but the control stick can detach during play if you pull it

  • I already have 4 controllers where to buy cheap and good dongle?

    • Ebay has cheap non genuine dongles

      • I saw them but not very sure are they OK?

        • other ozbargainers have said they worked fine. i have a spare one but i dont think ur based in brisbane
