    Microsoft Wireless 2000 K/Board & Mouse - $8 after C/B
    Microsoft Wireless 3000 K/Board & Mouse - $14 after C/B
    Microsoft Comfort Desktop 5000 K/Board & Mouse - $17 after C/B

    Vic/WA - Wireless Xbox 360 Controller for Windows - $10 after C/B

Obviously these can be price-matched at Officeworks/Good Guys

"Participating stores for the offer are Harvey Norman, Domayne, Joyce Mayne, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Dick Smith, Officeworks, Bing Lee, Big W,EB Games, MSY Technology Pty Ltd, Officemax Australia Ltd, Centre Com Sunshine Pty Ltd, Computer Alliance, Austin Computers, Leading Edge Group Ltd, PLE Computers, Umart Online."

    • Am I missing something on the 360 Controller or did they just up the price? It's $30 from PLE, 40% off would be $18 right?

Also it says *Excludes Xbox and Surface accessories.

      • +3

        It's 40% off Microsoft's RRP of $49.95, so $20 cashback

        • Ah makes sense, thanks :)

      • +1

Also it says *Excludes Xbox and Surface accessories.

        It's not actually for XBox.

Wireless Xbox 360 Controller for Windows

        • How sure are you that they will honour it? Think you can use it for both…

Edit: ahhh guess its easy to verify using the SKU on the ms site.

        • @wisc:
Anyone know what the cheapest XBOX 360 controller in Adelaide is? static ice says $40 at target, and PLE shipping is $10.00 to SA.

        • So can the controller be use with the xbox 360 console or not? How different it is to the normal wireless control from eb games? Want to buy a pair for my nephew so want to double check before buying

        • +1

          @3ah3ah:
Yes it can be used with your 360, and the included dongle allows it (and any of your 360 controllers) to be used with a Windows PC as well.

        • @DJ:
thanks DJ, backorder 2 from PLE, hopefully got them in time for the rebate and his b'day is in feb. giving him the xbox bundle for xmas

        • +1

@thierry: Target is not a participating retailer.

    • Thx. Grabbed the 360 controller. $10 is unbeatable!

      • Which store in NSW will pricematch/beat PLE's price ($30)?

Also, do these wireless controllers come with chargers?

      • Microsoft All In One Media Keyboard - $9 after C/B

Nice find, that's the lowest price I've ever seen for a branded wireless media keyboard with trackpad, great for HTPC. Looks like the best deal other than the xbox 360 wireless controller. Lots of other good deals though.

      • Thanks. Picked up one of the all in one's from my local officeworks. Got it price matched against MSY. Bought for $31.35

      • -2

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 $13 after C/B?!?
You mean we get 13 $ for the cashback right?

I was a bit surprised when you said $13 for the Final Price. With 40% off from MSY which is $45, you should be able to get $18 for the CashBack 45 - 18 = $27 (There is no big different in price, Even though the Good Guys and Officrworks can easily beat price by 5%)

Also, I they did mention this item should be claim individually? What does it mean? Maximal C/B claim are for 3 items

        • +3

Please have a good read over the link, and over the comments. 40% is off rrp and is a fixed amount.

          Please, read over the link

          @Spackbace:

          AHHHHH SHIEEEETTttttt…

Thank you for the neg, I appreciate it.
Just wondering about the OP+your statement, it's very TRICKY for me at first when I read it.
It's take a while for me to realize it until the "Thunder Shock to my Head"
I think the others also misunderstood the OP description since it's ambiguous.

OP should COPY+ PASTe the price in microsoft official website and put it on description and state BOLDYLY
NOTE: PLEASE SEE THE TABLE BELOW FOR THE PRICE DEDUCTION. IT's NOT 40% off the RETAILER PRICE BUT the price deduction is according to the TABLE BELOW
This is my advice is, otherwise people will kept asking the same thing over and over again

          BTW Merry Xmas

        • @rodinthink:

BTW, For the Microsoft natural Ergonomic 4000 , I really reccomend it for the Progammer or Clerk . It have a good review in AMAZON 4 out of 5 in 3,361 reviews even though some people dont like it. It's very comfy to use even though it takes time for you to get used to it. The N Keyboard is a bit bigger + the Space is a bit hard to push (for very sensitive people)

Nice find "Backspace", bought it full price at PCcaseGear, flipping my Keybo%R%^$I&!T#&^Y&!(R RAard now

Abit of quick advice : Also for you guys who live in isolated place like Darwin,NT (Yes I'm an "alien"), perhaps it's better to buy it via centrecom.com.au since it's not available in MSY.

Also, I they did mention this item should be claim individually? What does it mean?
-Sorry for the noob question, I'm quite new to these stuff please be gentle-man
Note that Maximal C/B claim are for 3 items for those who are to lazy to read

    • Thanks

    • Unfortunately even I missed the $30 for the controllers, but I grabbed 2 today, pre-ordered for $33 each, so $13 each after c/b :) still a bargain!

  • +3

    Excellent.
Still haven't used my nearly free keyboard combo from a few few year ago but thanks.

    • +10

But it's comforting to have a spare, says the voice in my head.

    • +2

Too many spare keyboards at home. So I checked my microwave for usb port. Nope.

Would be so useful to ctrl alt del when I make a mistake with the microwave.

  • +11

    Why no freaking surface accessories!!!!

Microsoft pisses me off almost as much as Apple sometimes..

    • +4

Better don't mention this as there are a lot of fruit fans here.

  • So how does it work? Aren't we supposed to purchase at "participating retailers"?

    • +2

      Yep:

      http://microsoft.com.au/cashback/Home/Terms

"Participating stores for the offer are Harvey Norman, Domayne, Joyce Mayne, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Dick Smith, Officeworks, Bing Lee, Big W,EB Games, MSY Technology Pty Ltd, Officemax Australia Ltd, Centre Com Sunshine Pty Ltd, Computer Alliance, Austin Computers, Leading Edge Group Ltd, PLE Computers, Umart Online."

  • +1

Hmm, maybe the participating stores will bump up the prices a bit during this promo period.

    What do you think??

    • I don't see why - cashback is from Microsoft, nothing to do with the retailers.

      • +1

When the solar panel rebates were on,the rebate was from the Federal Gov, yet solar panel prices were inflated. You get it now?

        • No need to be so narky. The solar panel rebate scheme is hardly in the same ballpark. You're not getting fly-by-night Microsoft accessories resellers coming and going for the rebate period.

      • It happened with the eBay Big TV & BBQ Paypal promotions. Customers were saving BIG money, so some retailers bet on the fact they could eat-into it & still make sales.

EDIT: Well, PLE computers have put-up the cost of the XBOX controllers. So there's one example already.

Microsoft are playing games with their RRP, anyway.
Lowered RRP ~37%, which means $20 less cashback per item.

    Just bought this :)

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows and Xbox (which includes the USB receiver dongle for PC) - $10 after cashback:

    https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=601486

    • -7

      *excludes Xbox and Surface accessories.

    • Thanks Kirt. I almost bought it as $10 is a steal, postage to where I am in Sydney is $11 though so will have to think about it.

      • +3

Even $21 delivered is a great price IMO, especially considering it includes the dongle, which itself costs around $8 - $9 for a fake one from Hong Kong ;)

      • +1

can also split shipping for multiple purchases on the same receipt

      • I was too late for the PLE offer, I'm in VIC and just bought mine from Umart ($17 after CB, pick up): http://www.umart.com.au/
They have multiple stores in NSW so you might be able to pick up.

    • Shipping to SA is $10, still an ok deal I reckon.

    • Had a look around didn't really see any word mentioning the wireless receiver. Though pccasegear mentioned it came with wireless receiver. Can anyone please advise?

    • +4

      NO.

        • +1

How so? it does not say off "All" products.
it's not very well done but it's not misleading anyone to believe that the 40% is for the entire Microsoft product range.

        • @holden93:

How so? it does not say of "All" products.

The title has now been changed as it only seems to apply to accessories

    • +17

      40% of RRP prices.

Damn my negs ran out too many people not reading.

      • Thanks old sport.

      • +4

I have a spare one for you. ;-p

        Sorry couldn't resist

  • I'm in the market for a mouse, but Microsoft mice don't have Logitech's free spin, do they? Do they have anything similar?

  • Time to stock up on the Wireless Desktop 800, I use them on my HTPC.

I am on my second set as the mouse scroll wheel clapped out on original after 3 years. For $4 I may buy three sets, they come with 2 AA and 2AAA Everready batteries so are almost free!

  • thnx

Anyone know the difference between the Arc Touch Bluetooth Mouse (on the list) and the Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition (not on the list)./ I did chat with a Microsoft rep and they couldn't even convey the points of difference either. I'm interested in getting one for my SP3.

    • Looks like maybe just colour.
on MSY the code is wrong though (0006 instead of 0007) - would we still get cashback??
      http://www.msy.com.au/wa/cannington/wireless/14824-microsoft…

      • Actually, even on microsoft store the code is 00006 - there is no 07. The cashback sheet must be wrong

        • I can confirm the code really is 7MP-00006 as I brought this last week at MSY ($59) as a gift so its still unopened. It says on the box 7MP-00006 right above the serial number. Hopefully MS will update their cashback page - not that my purchase will qualify anyway :(

      • I talked to a Microsoft rep and can confirm that it is indeed wrong. They said they will fix the issue, but I highly doubt it will be changed.

    • As fair as I can see it is only the colour that is different. The Arc touch is about 1mm wider than the Surface edition.

  • Advice needed: Am I better off with a bluetooth keyboard/mouse or wifi? Why?

    • +1

The 2.4 GHz USB dongles aren't WiFi.

Answer: if you want maximum compatibility, go for USB.

If you don't want a dongle, and you have Bluetooth built in, go for Bluetooth.

      • Thanks mate.

        • I've got both kinds of wireless mice, Bluetooth and the dongle variety.

Sometimes Bluetooth drops out, which is annoying, to the point where I've had to remove & re add the device occasionally. Logitech 555b, otherwise a great mouse though.

The usb dongle, I've never had drop out and also provides more wake up functions from what I remember. But of course it does use up one of your usb slots.. I think this one is the Microsoft 1000 mouse. Bought during a previous cash back for next to nothing

        • @nismo: Bought the 3000 keyboard & mice.

    • From my investigations, the Bluetooth devices chew threw the batteries faster, #can have better range# and are easier to attach to phones/tablets…

  • +1

Cheers bought 3 xbox controllers for under $100

    • -3

If i may ask, why the negs? Sorry for whatever it was?? Was only thanking the OP…

      • +4

Presumably cause you hogged them like a piglet.

        • I have two broken ones and i bought a spare! are they now out of stock or something?

        • -7

          @pointless comment:
There's no cashback on xbox controllers - so hope you didnt pay too much.

        • -5

@oak: oh yes there is. They will work outto $10 each. If i didnt need them , i could sell them for a tidy little profit. Thanks for your concern though

        • Lol. I see they are now $33 and on back order! Good thing i saw this post early, thanks again OP i am sorted for controllers now, SKiZO if u really want one maybe i can sell u one of mine? Let me know…special price of $32.99 for you friend!

How easy is it to make a claim for 2 controllers with a single invoice. Will Microsoft think that I am using the same invoice twice for the same item and refuse claim?

    • +6

Do people even bother reading the site that is linked in the OP?!?

To receive your 40% cash back simply upload a scan of your purchase receipt and submit it via this form no later than 20th February 2015. For multiple purchases on one receipt, each product must still be claimed individually. Offer valid between 20th December and 1st February 2015.

      • +1

I read that already and of course I will make the claim individually, however the receipt that I will email to Microsoft will be the exact same receipt. That's why I have my doubt, is that not legit?

        • +1

They've mentioned it in what I quoted. If they're on the same receipt you just upload the same receipt for each claim (as you can only claim one of them per claim anyway).

I'm not seeing where the confusion is coming from?

  • +3

Am I correct in assuming that you'll actually make money by buying this mouse?

    http://www.msy.com.au/viconline/peripherals/6284-microsoft-3…

According to the MS website, that is eligible for $28 cashback and MSY are only charging $24 for it. The SKUs on the MSY site line up with the MS one.

    • Only if you pay postage from the vic online store, or live close to the NSW Ultimo store…

      • I was already ordering something anyway, so for me it just makes the shipping down to TAS a bit cheaper

    • Thanks Mamong, just got this today & it is quiet…
