  • Why hire when you can buy new for around $100???? (not the same GPS ofcourse)

    • +1

While it seems very costly for an Australian unit if you’re travelling to Europe / North America the maps can be quite expensive for Australian units (sometimes well in excess of $150 and even over $200).

So for that purpose it seems quite good. But with no-name units going for $75, it’s hard to justify renting a GPS in Australia if you’re not a tourist.

  • why wouldn't you just BUY a GPS from tescos or aldis or morrisons when you're over there?

their GPS prices are even cheaper than ours

    • Either that or you could be naughty and "borrow" overseas maps from the internet while you are overseas ;)

i love the internet for free maps

I can't believe this kind of business can live for long. $39 a week for renting a GPS unit is not a bargain for most people.

    • This is a promotional offer for them , i dont think they are running a business based on this price.

ie you need to actually write a 300 word review to get this discounted price

also its only for the first 5

Check out how much you pay for GPS hire with Hertz or Avis!

  • Frankly the conditions of this offer sucks. You get a discount if you write a review of 300 words AND it gets published and its only for first 5. How do you know its one of the first 5? What happens if you publish on site someone else publishes it on. What if the review you write isn't flattering?

Too limited and frankly as a mod its so borderline to being withdrawn because of the limited number available

    • Totally agree its too easy to miss out on the deal, and whilst the deal not being worth it

    • Hi ozpete, we'd be happy to answer your concerns:

      • We will put up a notice once all of the coupons have been used
      • The confirmation email from us will specify if your coupon code is accepted
      • You can publish your review anywhere, even if a review already exists there
      • We will honour the deal even if the review is not flattering. However, we have full confidence in providing a high standard of service and satisfaction to all our customers (based on the last four years of experience).

The reason why there are only five codes available is because we are currently experimenting with this promotion. If it proves successful we will review and expand this offer.

    • +1 here for a non-bargain!

  • Nah, not really that cheap, way too restrictive and can't prove it.

  • totally agree with ozpete. This deal blows

  • @mickeylieu, you're about 3 or 4 years too late buddy!
if you did this back then when gps units were selling for around $500, that would be a completely different story, i mean, what's your next idea, rent-a-ipod? lol

  • i rather use a blind dog
