I haven't checked 100%, but my gut feel is that since it's a house brand, there'll be no support once Masters closes down.
For example, when the battery dies or you want a spare, where would you get a new one?
It's probably a rebrand of some Chinese Generic, so googling might find something similar in appearance, but it would be a bit of a gamble as to whether the internals were the same.

no chance anyway. Its a clearance item. Batteries keep changing.
I expect than when most of my tools need new batteries, it will be a choice of repacking the old batteries with new cells, or getting a new tool.I think the 909-day warranty will be OK though. Unless woolworths sells Masters to a Private Equity Vulture Capitalist, who gut it and send it to bankruptcy.
Not that big. 12V is really what most people call 10.8V nominal (3-cell li-ion series) , so that makes it look dodgy to start with.
4AHr means it is 6-cell (2x3), which is only one more than a standard 5-cell 18V 2AHr or 1.5AHr battery. But $140 is what you'd normally pay for a skin-only. So the choice is this, or a skin that fits your existing batteries and chargers.
You do have a cordless drill already?No I don't.
I will need an impact drill driver for lots of screws driving.
Personally, I would either go super cheapo, or buy a name brand. Preferably a 18V model and get TWO batteries - even 1.5 to 2aH will be good enough for most people.
Make sure it has a fast charger (ie: 60 mins max). You will charge the second battery quicker than you will use the first.
Oh, and 2Ah battery at 18V (36 Watt/hr) contains same energy as a 3Ah 12V ( 36W/h) battery. So don't get confused by "Ah" ratings.
No I don't.
WOW - you have no other cordless tools?
Then consider spending $49 extra and buy something like this:

Name brand, Higher voltage 14.4V, Impact driver plus 2-speed drill. Batteries are only 1.3Ah however.
There's always deals at Bunnings and Masters on combo packs with a drill and an impact driver. I seem to remember seeing some Stanley or Triton ones at Masters for a fantastic price recently. Cannot find it online but didn't look very hard because they have a strange "location aware" product portfolio so what I see is different to what you see in your local area.
It seems to me someone here (OzBargain) said before 14.4V Dewalt product line is discontinued.
It does not look cheap for me to be fair.
Bosch Blue 10.8V range is a bit more powerful and looks much smaller.
A bit more expensive obviously.I believe this one is an old stock, 1.3Ah. Not brushless. But looks nice.

Thought it was a Snap On rattle gun for a sec. Nearly wet my pantaloons
I tried them in store some time ago with wonder of why a entry level brand has a close to $200 price tag. It feels OK and the build is not bad too.
It differences with normal impact drive by putting forward and reverse into 2 individual switches so it saves 2 sec for switching the directing. But the buttons themselves are different to normal ones too. I found it hard to get used to as you can't feel how deep the switches are pressed. Assume it can be worse when wearing gloves.
Don't know know about the dimensions but it looks taller than normal impact drives as well due to the space the 2 switches take.
Can someone please advise if this is any good? I can see it has a big capacity rechargeable battery. Other than that no idea.
