Is Hikoki what was Hitachi? I have a 12v kitchen fitters set thats at least 14 years old with 1.5ah batteries from the uk (where they have a 10 year warranty and they are still great for so many little things that dont warrant breaking out the makita 18v stuff.
They rebranded for some strange reason. Still as bulletproof as ever. I have been using them for 15 years.
I've renovated most of my house and looking to upgrade from ryobi everything. Is Hikoki a good option? Or is it more for professionals?
Highly recommended. I have used their stuff for 15 years and never had an issue. Suited more to heavy duty trade work than DIY though.
Catch is there ain’t as many skins compared to Ryobi. Currently use Hitachi/Hikoki, Makita and Milwaukee.
Hitachi was made in Japan. Hikoki rebranded and is now made in china like everybody else. Hope that helps.

clicked on op's link, error 404, searched bunnings website but can't find the kit.
Ended up found the kit on bunnings trade website, however disappeared again after logged in to powerpass.
