That's what happens when a deal finds its way on Ozbargain!

To be fair they never really advertised it, and they did say they were fixing it.

They never told us it was meant to be working again, and the landing page hasn't been put back.

So if it works, then good for us. If it doesn't, well… they never said it was meant to be working yet.

I got a synology NAS ds215J. Looks like a lot of the synology stuff has been pulled down.

The code was a massive headf*** for me. It came up with a discount and then reverted back to normal. I pressed cancel per the directions any bargain hunting ebayer does when checking these things when I was in the cart and it just decided to buy it at the full price! It used my bank account instead of my credit card on my paypal which I ALWAYS change. It didn't even let me pick the postage address or anything just picked all the defaults.

Apparently ebay are going to reimburse me 20% in 20 business days. I had to get the bank to put a stop debit on my account so it would revert to my card. Trying to deal with paypal was wasting my whole day… If I don't get reimbursed…I'm just going to return it. I'd rather buy this stuff on my card as dealing with dodgy transactions is always better when it's a credit card. Extra warranty for a year and points as well.

Same thing happened to me on a previous deal. The issue was when you logged into PayPal, you need to make sure you UNCHECK "this is a private computer" or something to that effect. Otherwise it'll streamline the process and buy the items as soon as you login

      • I did tick that, I usually never do. Thanks for the info! What a shit implementation.

I'm gonna keep separate paypal accounts now. Especially because you can never have your credit card as the default if you have a bank account stored as well.

Anyone got a search for all stores

      • Apparently but their store page doesn't list anything, hence the question.

  • is this the WD 5TB external drive that's known to have WD Red's in it? know it's been as low as about $175 but still a decent buy at this price?

  • Confirmed Just used CTECHIE for a purchase from Binglee, C20TECH does not work any more (get an error message after click buy)

  • Would anyone happen to know if there is any PS4 deals to be had ? I can only see Kogan selling them http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-Playstation-4-Console-1TB-Bl… the cheapest I have seen them at the monent is $549.00.

    • +2

      That's bloody expensive, I'd wait for local like Target offers… I got mine $440 for PS4 1TB + Uncharted game…

  • Also confirming CTECHIE works - bought a Dyson V6 Absolute for $558 from The Good Guys. Was only supposed to by the standard V6 but got hut with upgrade-itis =/

  • Kogan jacked up the prices
    Iphone 6s 128gb $1,461.99
    Was $1,360.51

    • +1

      That's a price from 3 months ago.
They changed the price 14 times since then.

      • thanks mate, i just know there's a link to that
so they didn't change the price recently

    • If your'e getting 128GB you should be looking at the deal from Myer, save $220.

      • Looks like it is for iphone 6, not 6s.

  • Just saw on Kogans it has a new code "CTECHIE", takes 20% off!!!!

  • Does anyone know if these stores sell a go pro hero 4 silver, but not from Kogan? Kogans shipping seems horrible.

  • Ordered Sony KDL50W800C and KDL40W700C (CTECH) at 10pm last night and got a call at 9:30am, ready for collection at Good Guys. Very fast service from TGG!

Doesn't seem to find a good deal on LG G4.

    • Yeah, I'd be interested in a good deal on the G4 as well (Local stock)….hearing so much about imminent price drops but no sign of it as of yet!!

  • Just picked up the Skylake i5 6500 for $234 at Kogan, Staticice prices are around $290+

    • Do they have any 6600k?
Also was it 6400 or 6500?

      • Nope, they only have the 6400 and 6500 on their eBay store.

        • I can only see the 6400. Can you please share the link to the 6500? I'm looking for one myself.

        • @saaron: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Intel-Skylake-Core-i5-6500-3-2Ghz…

Right now they are sold out, but as for all eBay-Kogan sales; check the item every couple of hours as they like to add in a couple at random times.

        • @jicks:
          Cheers!

        • @saaron: Just clicked the link casually and there was only one left (which I think Kogan did deliberately). Anyhow, got that last one for 234ish. Thanks.

Which mobo are you using with it? I am looking at MSI H170 gaming or any other good one, don't really need the "gaming" features but that's the only one that has USB 3.1 ports.

        • @saaron:

Right now I'm looking at the ASUS Z170-A, haven't made up my mind yet because I'm still waiting for my RAM and the CPU to get here.

        • +1

@jicks: Why do you need the Z170? The CPU does not allow overclocking. Wouldn't an H170 be better choice?

        • @saaron: Actually you raise a good point, I was considering upgrading parts later on since the H170 only supports DDR4 2133 RAM but I might just save some money here now.

Edit: OK just did some more research, apparently the locked Skylake CPUs are actually overclockable. Now I'm stuck in the middle :\

        • @jicks: You can save even more by selecting B150 motherboard, but beware if the motherboard supports DDR4 or DDR3 when you choose.

  • whats the cheapest windows based laptop you can get???

Bought Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 32Gb for $639.20 from Optus. Australian stock. Not as cheap as the JB Hifi earlier but I am pretty happy with this especially I will be claiming TRS refund soon.

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LG-55EG910T-55-139cm-Curved-O…

I just bought this. Normal price around $3,200. On sale down to $2,995. With 20% to $2,396 and around another $30 off with cashrewards. I think the cheapest it's been for a while was $2,600.

    • +1

      A 50 foot tv? Good grief…

Bought the Canon 70D, good price from the TGG.

  • +2

For the item I want, one of the sellers reduced the quantity (so it is now out of stock). Another one bumped up the price (so after the discount, it is no longer a bargain). Was it really an eBay technical glitch?

  • Sweet spot for an ADSL2+ modem router combo? Nothing more than AC1900. Been looking at the ASUS DSL-AC68U or a Netgear r7000, if anyone can vouch for either of those before I buy?

    • Both are the best options, both are fine choices. Not a lot between them imo.

      • +1

R7000 is a router only. No modem.

        • +4

ive used both and dsl-ac68u had slightly better range towards the edges of my house and also connected faster [18.9 vs 17.6] than the d7000

d7000 does look better though otherwise not a lot between them

        • @jabroni: Thanks, only the D7000 is at 20% at the moment so I think I'll be snapping that one up

        • That's right, I meant to type D7000, the modem router combo version

        • @milhau5:

yeah at 269 its worth it plus i don't see the asus modem on sale :P

    • Grabbed the AC68U last weekend and couldn't be happier.

Paid over $300 =/ from MSY so figured it couldn't be too far off the mark. Had a bad feeling doing such a spur of the moment impulse buy…looks like it's available for significantly less. Shame on me.

Still happy with it for that price.

      • Thanks for your input, but the AC68U isn't being sold by any of the stores supporting the 20% off but the D7000 is at about $270, so I think I'll be going for the one

        • I went for the AC-87U and it was $243 from Kogan

        • @pokipop: That would be for the router only right?

  • Just landed two Gopro Hero 4 Silvers for under $900…. thanks :)

  • Teds - Nikon D750, came to $1929.95 delivered.

Happy with that price for local stock, and can apparently buy extended warranty for it too (in-store or over phone).

    • Excellent price.

    • I bought this for the same price yesterday. It was a great deal.

  • Couple of 'reasonable' deals on Nespresso machines (nowhere near as good as last time though).
The innisia or Umilk with frother for $219 less 20% = $175, then additional $40 cashback or $65 nespresso credit per this link https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/237618
Puts you down at $135 per unit. The frother on its own is $90 normally.

Sorry for stupid question guys but does anyone know of an eBay filter search for all retailers in the promo?

I'll add it to the OP

  • http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SONY-MDRZ7-Sound-Monitoring-Headp… Pretty sure thats cheapest in the world, 700USD on Amazon / 500USD for HK

    • They are factory seconds though aren't they?

      • Yea but it sold out about 10mins after I posted it, hopefully someone now has the gateway to amazing sound rather then a broden.

    • Remember though these are Factory Seconds. Still, maybe Dr. Dre' wore them while working on his last Album. He wouldn't use his rubbish brand, surely.

    • They've been back in and out of stock. They're actually more like $600ish AU from Japan new

Tempting.. but there are tons of incredible headphones in that price range

  • Hello fellow Ozbargainers,

Would anyone have an idea of 2 27" monitors which is at a decent price atm. Mainly browsing or work related stuff - no gaming!! Appreciate any thoughts please.

  • Trust no tv's from kogan not even willing to make a little bit less money for promoting his goods bloody Ruslan definitely not getting a kogan tv now.
