Cheaper by 1c!
Your point?
Please explain why your deal is worth posting on OzBargain.
It is 13% cheaper than our usual sell price. Next question
This is OzBargain. We don't compare to your previous selling price. We compare to the best price in the market.
I found it cheaper elsewhere. As a community I try to help other OzBargainers to make informed decisions such as YOUR PRICE IS NOT A BARGAIN. BUY ELSEWHERE.
Oh, and your snarky comments will win you no friends here.
EDIT: just checked your previous deal posts… wow 5 deals posted and you amassed a total of one positive vote and two negative votes. Good luck with that
@PBG: So every bargain on this site is the cheapest possible version of that product? And all those other deals with x% off are based on what, if not a previous sell price. I have no problem you pointing out that you found it cheaper elsewhere all I did was point out that it was only cheaper by 1c.
So every bargain on this site is the cheapest possible version of that product?
Ummmmm….. isn't that kind of the point of OzBargain??? Can you link to a single post that won the hearts of OzBargainers that was not the cheapest price?
Rep, think about this from our point of view. If you're posting a "deal" which is not the cheapest in the marketplace and I was able to find it cheaper at three different stores on the first page of google, how is your deal post not considered spam?
So every bargain on this site is the cheapest possible version of that product?
Yes, and if they're not, then that's where a negative vote comes in as PGB has shown. They've shown it's cheaper in multiple places. Doesn't matter if its 1c, it's still cheaper than your 'sale' price.
Hence this is not a bargain.
@PBG: @PBG: You can be as negative as you like about our business, you may think your putting it up to some evil corrupt corporation but the reality is you are picking on a tiny(2 employees) Australian business. If Ozbargain have a problem with our deals I'm sure they will tell us and as you have pointed out the community has already spoken about our deals and despite that we are still going to offer what we think are good deals on the products we offer.
@cillianbc: And in saying that, you should be prepared for negative feedback if the product you are offering can be obtained cheaper elsewhere, regardless of the level of discount.
LOL are you for real? I'm not negative about your business, I'm negative about your deals that you post here. I don't think you're truly understanding what this community site is about. You post a deal that is not a good deal, that is why they negative vote button exists.
If Ozbargain have a problem with our deals I'm sure they will tell us
Yes, yes they will. You should read the OzBargain Guide for Store Representatives specifically the section about 'Performance-Based Store Bans' because as of tomorrow you will be automatically banned from posting on OzBargain for 30 days. And if it happens twice again then you will be banned permanently.
Rep, take this one on the chin. Go and regroup and come back in 30 days with a killer deal. Make sure you are the cheapest in the marketplace by at least 10%. You'll find favour here if you can bring genuinely good deals to the table.
@PBG: Our previous offer was a genuinely good deal, but we still got a down-vote and no up-votes so it's not all that easy. We are trying to offer good deals and we don't post here every time we have a product on special.
@cillianbc: You're right rep, it's not all that easy. I own a small business too. But to not do a little bit of homework (i.e. googling your product to make sure it's the cheapest price - even by 1c) before posting on a bargain website is always going to end in tears. Just think, if you had have offerred the same product for $5 cheaper than your competitors all of this would have been turned around and you could have found your favourably voted deal on the front page winning new customers. A little bit of homework rep, that's all. You can't tell me there isn't an extra $5 in margin you could have trimmed in order to win a hundred customers or so.
Looking at your previous deals I would say that historically you have used OzBargain as an advertising portal and nothing else. You need to work with our community, not use us for advertising/link-building. If you can keep this in mind for the next deal you post and blow us away with a crazy special you will gain customers without fail.
And here's a bit of a help for you: the last deal you posted was killed with high shipping fees that you commented as "this is what it costs us". OK well here is a courier comparison service that will slash your shipping fees: https://dashboard.temando.com/booking. I'm not affiliated with Temando however I do use them a few times per month and they are cheaper by a country mile to any other courier directly. Another option is interparcel.com.au which is great if you need urgent shipping (i.e. pick up same day) but are usually 10% more than Temando.
Best of luck and remember, next time bring a crazy special to the party :)
100 Lycon Tongue Depressors
Hairy tongue?
Ha. Not quite. The tongue depressors are used as wax applicators
I think the OP and I have different interpretations of the word "gorgeous"
