This may be controversial in terms of "free-ness" but for a "limited time" you can download all Tropfest finalists and winners/runner up short films into your iTunes movies/videos to watch offline. These are in Full HD (1080p). If you wish there are Stabdard versions also Free when selected at the bottom of each video.
Alternatively t can be watched on SBS on demand

Jdownloader works wonders downloading most things off the net. I'm pretty sure if you copy the playlist URL from YouTube it will find and download all videos.
Google Safe Browsing recently found harmful programs on installer.jdownloader.org.
If you understand the risks to your security, you may visit this site before the harmful programs have been removed.

Decent offering and probably worth a + for iOS (removed), but for non Apple users can also be had going to the TROPFEST YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5yVeWxC5dQd1CNq4naTBAw and 'grabbed' pretty easily using KeepVid etc.
