    OP, you may want to update from 'Abum' to 'Album', otherwise you just never know what type of listeners you may attract.

    the crazy thing is even if you listen to them 1000 times on a streaming platform they wouldnt even get a $1 for it

    so them selling it for $1 be much more profitable for them

    good band too

        Artists get less than a fraction of a cent per play and Spotify has changed the rules that you only start getting income after 1000 plays. Basically screwing over Indy artists. There were figures out there when they changed the rules a few months ago. Essentially 80% of artists on their platform will be affected. Streaming isna scam for the artists.

        Always best to buy albums and merch so artists get income. Even better if they're on somewhere like Bandcamp.

    If you really like the band and want to see them in person, you can buy a ticket to a concert and get the album for 55cents!

      With the cost of travelling to one of those, regional, venues I would hope they might waive the $1 for the album!

        They need to sell the album to consider it a sale for the charts, hence charging the 55 cents with a concert ticket.
        Plus that 55 cents scored me 2 tickets to their launch party for free so well worth it.

          Ah, the charts, good point. I didn't realise that was still a thing. I had always thought 'budget-priced' albums were excluded though [edit: seems not to be the case for the ARIA charts]
          Well done with the launch party tickets, I hope it's a bit more local to you than any of their gigs are for me.

      I bought my Townsville ticket early last week encase the album launch sold out all the shows, got the digital album ticket of course. I guess you could say I love Like Love.

    Never heard of them. Have now and I like. Thanks for the post. Shame that it was too late to see them live on the weekend. But it looks like the concert was recorded for those who are interested

    Not all their music is to my taste but they've got some good songs. I still bought it 'cause I'm happy to support an Aussie band.

    I shared it with all the Kool Kids in the office and they lost their sh!t when they saw it was only a buck.
