Normally these sell for $22. Don't even compare the original to the cheap $2 store knockoffs as they have the colours in the wrong order so you'll find it hard to solve following tutorials. They also constantly get stuck when you spin them. Stick with the original Rubik's cube.
YouTube has plenty of tutorials to help you solve it.
Happy solving!

As someone who is recently really into cubing (completing in ~50 seconds currently) I have to say that while the original cube feels solid and has good build quality, I quickly moved onto 'speed cubes' such as the Guo Guan YueXiao or YongJun as they rotate more smoothly, don't have stickers which fade and peel and are much lighter. As you can see here http://www.speedcube.com.au/ they cost a fair bit less that the original too. No disrespect to OP this is a good bargain, but you really are just paying for the brand getting a Rubik's original.
