Saw these very cheap Blu Ray movies today in Kmart. They are on p.14 of the entertainment catalogue. There wasn't a huge selection left but there was some for the taking, mainly the action films like Die Hard.

Got myself Silence of the Lambs. For $12, can't complain. Hopefully this is a sign that Blu Ray prices are dropping further.

Also saw some fairly recent DVD's like The Hangover and Terminator Redemption for $10 each. The Office Seasons 1-4 box set (which has been the subject of previous discussion here on Ozbargain) was only $52, but labelled $99.

    Yeah, they've had great prices on DVDs recently. For what it's worth, local Big Ws have beaten all of their prices. ($10 DVDs are at 9.84, $14 DVDs are at 13.87)

      Wow, not bad. Unfortunately I didn't see any price matching on any Blu-rays at Big W, I scanned a few but no real bargains to be had there. Wanted District 9 and can't seem to find a good price anywhere! Hehe, totally did the rounds of the shopping center today. :D

    To be honest, I can't see a single thing that'd be worth getting on BR. The few things that'd actually translate the higher quality are either terrible movies or so story/character based that the higher detail wouldn't make any difference in a viewing.

      Thanks for the list. Agree, most of these probably aren't worth bothering with on Blu Ray. Now that I see what was available disappointed that there was no stock of Contact, thats one I think might translate well into higher def.

    If you have no Kmart near, check out Target, they had all the same stock for only 99c more (they arnt marked, scan them at a price-check point). Because they aren't marked they have heaps of stock.
