90% of what they sell are junks. It is not easy to find things worth $100.

    • Kayano 22 seems to be a good deal if you're in need of new shoes. From $179.99, too bad I'm not sure about my shoe size lol.

Unless of course you're not into running…

        • Me neither, I was thinking of buying it for gym… just think of it as normal sports shoes?

        • +1

          @ProjectZero:

I wouldn't buy running shoes for the gym, you need more support on the sides and no need for as much cushioning…

        • @jv: Didn't know there were shoes with support on the side.

I've been wearing my mizuno paradox for gym and was quite happy with using running shoes.

What sheos would you recommend for gym?

        • @ProjectZero:

Didn't know there were shoes with support on the side.

          cross trainers…

        • @jv: Oh this is embarrassing… I thought those were the same as running shoes XD

I thought those were the same as running shoes

Nope, running shoes and cross training shoes are designed for different purposes…

cross trainers provide better support on the sides of the shoes for gym classes and such…

        • @jv: Cheers, saved me $150 for now. Gotta look for some cross trainers then

        • @jv:

They are fantasic for the gym, support in all the right places. Really good for squats, especially if you do heavy weight

          @ProjectZero:

Runners are really just made for running and not good for anything else.
Shoes with support on the side a quite important for any kind of sports where you change directions a lot, i.e. Basketball, Badminton, Handball, Chess.

      • Really? $180 for a pair of shoes is good value??

        • considering most running shoes cost around there. I'd say so, and also, 20% off should apply… I'm trying to verify it now.

          -Edit-
Yeah, the discount applies, brings it down to $144 + $9.99 shipping. Though the only pair going for $179.99 is in US11 only, the rest are $199.99.

  • Any bargains ?

    • +2

If you are willing to spend hours searching through all the categories of junks, you may find it.

      • +2

It's not posted in the description though. I only vote on bargains.

        • +4

          Then don't vote

        • @CodeXD:

          Then don't vote

          I didn't.

    What's the catch

    • You, for them.

  • +1

    Any gift cards?

  • Has anybody bought a pair of Nike from them? Last time I bought clothes they were really poor quality

    • +3

Yeah I got Free Run 2s when they had them for $99. Should have bought 10 pairs as you can't get them anywhere now.

It used to be a good site with genuinely good deals which were presumably the end of runs or old stock from other stores. Now it seems they just bulk buy tons of stuff that is not even particularly competitively priced. Gone from using CoD multiple times a month to almost never. Shame really.

And they just keep recycling the same old stuff. Good stuff used to come and get snapped up quickly never to appear again. Seems like just the same old stuff on rotation over and over….

    • +4

      I'm in the same boat.

They used to have real good deals. Now they are just like any other online junk retailer with standard prices.

    • +7

"Catch of the Day" became "Crap of the Day" and now it's "Same Crap, Different Day".

  • +1

They occasionally have good deals. As such, it's insulting to learn of this offer now, as one of the very rare occasions upon which I buy from them passed on Sunday. I would have saved a solid $40 had this been available then.

  • +2

I bought a gshock on ebay that was not delivered. I dont expect to see it, so i bought another one with this sale. not everything they have is junk.

    • +3

I don't think anyone will argue that they sometimes sell some decent items at a reasonable price, it is just these deals are few and far between. Most of us can't be bothered trawling through the site every day to save a few bucks on something we didn't really need. It is much more satisfying buying stuff you don't need if it is genuinely well priced and doesn't take hours and hours to find!

      • +1

That is true. I knew what I wanted and I went straight for it. They have way to much stuff.

      • +1

What I do usually is to search ozbargain first on the deals posted, and when an offer like this comes up, just stack them straight away.

  • A decent discount, thanks for posting OP.

Legend - you just saved me a bunch of time!!
