Does it include the power supply? The details on the product page are a bit scarce.

    • For $60 you'd expect it to

  • The details are very scarce and nothing in the photo to indicate - assume 12v DC. Did a quick bit of research using ebay and this still seems an inflated price in comparison

    eg: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/221200588214?limghlpsr=true&…

The above are for 300 leds whereas SCA are for 120 Leds.

Can be had for even cheaper from CN / HK.

  • Is it illegal to have these on a car/motorcycle?

    • I think it's only illegal to have them switched on when in motion.

for you in QLD, here's a relevant thread. Roads dept seems to say yes illegal. Official docs seem to suggest ok if certain colours and fitted according to certain specs: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2123985

      • yeah they are illegal, gotta thank the old neons from the early 2000s…

      • Thanks for the link mate!

    • -In WA-

It's not illegal if installed properly.

  • Will you put multicolour or warm white in your car bumper ? The police will catch u.

    • +1

Nah, they won't mind at all.
Unless your car bumper is transparent. ;)

Thanks OP. I ordered through Supercheap eBay for an extra 10% off with the valentines deal, it only covered the postage but better than nothing.
Minimum is meant to be $100 but less worked for me

  • Could use these easily enough for under-cabinet or under-bench lighting in the kitchen with a 12VDC power supply?

    • yep, i did it

    • Put similiar strip lights into the pantry in series with a PIR sensor. One of the best mods I ever did to the house.

      • Wow.. I like the idea mate, may I know how u did that? I am sort of newbie here but would like to do my best.

        • +2

I got all my parts from Ebay as most of these strip lights are of a similar design coming out of China. You will need a

          • power supply (size dependent on the strip lights you get)
          • PIR motion sensor http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LED-Lighting-Motion-Sensor-Switch…
          • cable splitter (optional as I ran indidual light strips on the underside of each shelf for more even lighting)
          • light strip
          • you can also get prewired light strip connectors if you're not confident stripping wires and temrinating them yourself.
        • @ckcha: thanks mate for details, I will definitely give this a go. Looks interesting ;) G'Day.

    • for under-cabinet or under-bench lighting in the kitchen with a 12VDC power supply?

You could, but these strips are not very bright. You want bigger 5050 emitters, closer together. I prefer cool white too.

  • Solar led 20m for $35 @ masters + 10% off with code + cash back

    • Sorry mate what 10% code is this?

      • +1

        MASTERS10

        it's discount code

  • Wish they had click & collect. Shipping sorta kills it.
