Also has anyone actually seen the aldi frother? I've been to 3 different stores on the Gold Coast and can't find it. Doesnt even look like there was space on the shelf where all the other coffee stuff is kept.

This is an awesome unit and I purchased one just after Xmas. Based on reviews it may be worthwhile to get an extended warranty though.
Agree, love mine but first one died within 6 months. Good Guys happily replaced it and I took out an extended warranty at the same time, normally wouldn't bother but it seems inevitable that I'll need it at some point.
Good frother BUT they die. Simple as that.
Had 3 die under warranty and got a refund before it ran out. Had the 3 beeps of death - check products review for many many of the same stories.

These seemed to work WAY better than the pixie ones that most Nespresso machines come with. No burned spot on the bottom of the jug and easy to clean. Much better foam too.

This unit is well worth it, forget the stupid Aldi comments, having gone thru Nespresso non stick turing to sticky, this doesn't stick, easy to clean and heats and froths like a pro.

That's the reason I bought mine! To replace my Nespresso one.
But IMHO this one is just damned amazing and far superior. It's stainless steel so extremely easy to clean like any other dishes and is also dishwasher safe. It has a lot of options for precisely heating your milk to a certain temperature (or being completely cold), and the froth is fantastic.
When I bought this thing because the Nespresso one kept burning my milk I felt like such a douchebag, but I quickly became a real believer. It's hard to explain how frothy and velvety and nice milk this thing makes. I use it every weekend and sometimes during the week. It's just really really good and convenient if you have a lot of milk-based drinks.
Dang, just bought this @TGG $126 last week. Highly recommended.
These work much better than other cheaper ones mentioned - only downside is the reliability isn't great.
