Live Chat very busy at the moment …

  • Also Lowepro Volta 10 Black Camera Bag @ $5

If you play The Good Guys 120% game, would be about $2.41

    • Yeah that's in my other post, HN Also have it :)

Thanks TRENT86. I needed a camera bag for my Nikon D3300 that OzBargain MADE me buy just Christmas. HN Chat price matched for pick up at my local store in Melbourne.

      On the same boat here…

    • On the same boat too :)

  • Hmmm. no PM… "Unfortunately The offer on the Joyce Mayne site is a 1/2 Yearly Clearance offer . As it is a clearance offer their offer doesn’t meet our price match policy"

    • -1

Did you try price match at Harvey Norman with this http://www.harveynorman.com.au/lowepro-trax-170-camera-bag.h…. Joyce Maybe is essentially a subsidiary of Harvey Norman so it would be stupid of them not to price match.

      • Used online chat.
LOL as soon as I asked for PM without send them a link they pasted me those response straight away!

        • -1

And did you happen to mention to them that Joyce Mayne is a subsidiary of Harvey Norman it's owned by them?. They are refusing to price match their own subsidiary.

        • @hollykryten: Yes but still refused.

They responsed: "By all means you can purchase this from Joyce Mayne, it is at a good price"

        • -1

          @hollykryten:

Just because one company is a subsidiary of another doesn't mean they have to price match.

  • Great deal but HN refused to price match via chat. Reason: "The offer on the Joyce Mayne site is a 1/2 Yearly Clearance offer . As it is a clearance offer their offer doesn’t meet our price match policy".

    • It's ironic because HN owns Joyce Mayne or should i say both are owned by Gerry Harvey. It's refusing to price match a sale offer by their own subsidiary business that they own.

      • They even said: "It's a great offer. You may wish to buy it from joycemayne". Maybe they don't want to price match for professional

  • Too many people asked the same question.

Hi, no we dont price match with them as they are having Half Yearly Clearance sale

    • Ironic because if Joyce Mayne can offer the price then so can Harvey Norman. Joyce Mayne is really just a rebranded Harvey Norman store.

      • No Joyce Mayne in Sydney, so may not be able to price match here.

        • HN is any way refusing to price match their own Joyce Mayne stores clearance price.

        • @hollykryten:

Anyone tried in store price match?

  • The Professionals are having a bad day

  • Same HN chat said no match half yearly, got one anyway plus $9.95 delivery, no JM near me, needed something.

  • Lol, they have now added the word "Clearance" next to their "1/2 yearly" to make sure they can avoid a price match..

Got one, the guy in the chat answered before i even asked a question, no we do not match item on clearance!

But still decent price including shipping.
    Thanks OP.

    • Yeah that was my thinking too.

  • I personally think the guy on HN chat has no clue. I have price matched an item on clearance before.

    • But i think he got too many requests from ozbargainers today. I guess at least 80% of us ozbargainers now own a DSLR… and everyone needs a bag!

  • Just price matched in store at HN and bought one plus the $9 tripods.

  • How do you get to live chat. Can see what I need to do?

Can some post a copy of invoice from Harvey Norman? Appreciate your help.

  • who sells a bag with no picture of the inside seriously? Googling it is no help either as it shows you similar models, ebay and amazon listings dont have internal pictures as well.

  • Manage to price match in Harvey Norman Garden City. The staff even mentioned about Joyce Mayne and Domayne being owned by Harvey Norman.

I was able to price match the Joby GorillaPod SLR-ZOOM from the DirtCheapCamera deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/229724) in Harvey Norman as well. Only had to prove that they have a physical store in Australia.

    • Did you pay $20?

  • I don't need one, but for 12 bucks I wouldn't mind a bag for occasions when I just want to take a body with a 24-70.

But the live chat guy refused to match. If you get Bernard just close the window and try again. Needless to say I gave him a rating of zero for not meeting my expectation.

  • No price match at HN because of clearance item.

I mistyped and responded "OK, good nighty"… nighty…wot

  • Any other decent deals at joyce mayne? I wanna get the bag but shipping is almost as much as it ($15.90 to Brisbane), so etting a couple of other things to offset. I'll get the $5 pouch from earlier too. Anything else anyone has seen in their travels?

    • have a look at their catalogue

      • Haha, Thanks! This didn't occur to me

Got it price matched at HN without raising an eyebrow.

It's a cheap bag, cheap in quality, $12 is probably the maximum for what it's worth. I wouldn't pay postage just for this bag. Also, it is not Lowepro branded, just some generic stuff.

I got it for general propose storage to be placed inside a larger box.

    • Agreed it's a cheapo bag. Left it on the shelf.

    • thanks for the review, i nearly hit the check out cart after entering my credit card details from this deal, then decide to read some reviews on this item….and changed my mind.

      LUCKY!

    • I am wondering whether it is really a Lowepro?

      • Nowhere inside or outside of the bag, and nothing on the tag have anything reference Lowepro.

Cheap shoulder strap (not removable), single pull zipper (not YKK), thin paddings/dividers, crappy and loose mesh.

May be it came from the same distributor of Lowepro, or possibly Lowepro for emerging markets, whoever decided it was worth $38 must be high on something.

  • Went to HN Fyshwick. Asked the guy if I could get the bag for $12 through price match. He immediately said there was only $2.50 margin on it so it would be impossible. Showed him the Joyce Mayne site, he fussed over the computer with his manager for 5 mins or so. Apparently JM is sold out nation-wide so price match is not available. He said he could do me a deal for $22. What about the $2.50 margin mate? Fake smile back at me.
Got the Belkin case for $20. It's a bigger case and looked to be far better quality.

    • The Belkin case I saw on special is F8K001-LRG-C00. It is $11 at Belrose but I don't like it.

They are around the same size, the spec on the site I think is wrong.
