  • I'd wager that nearly any 9V adaptor you may have spare would work if it had the right fitting. If polarity is opposite just cut and reverse wires.

      It's 1000mA 9.5 Volt centre pin negative.

A 12V adapter would probably work fine as well, so long as it is regulated, and not the old-style with transformer.
But I have fried a 5V device because it had the same 5.5mm DC jack as common 12V devices.

      What idiot does centre-negative though?

      • It's also possible to wire directly to where the batteries are. Messy though.

  • Lol, I just trashed an older Casio keyboard as it didn't work on a generic 9v

    • Probably would have worked cutting the wires to reverse the polarity.

They are also selling the "Plug & Play pack" for casio keyboards for $2:

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/musical-instruments/casio/casio-pp…

It includes a USB cable (basically a USB printer type cable) to connect your keyboard to a computer, a 3.5mm cable for connecting an ipod or similar music device to the keyboard, and a little anti-slip mat.

Definitely worth it if you have a modern Casio keyboard. :)

    • yep, worth it, my casio was center negative, most power supplies with the barrel jack connector like this one nowadays are center positive!
