easy tiger - it's not as if TA exists anywhere other than OzBargain, and that TA is to his name what JV is to Jules Verne.

@cornbeef: Have been a member for <10 minutes so no way to pick up the acronyms just yet :)

        • @jv: As you well may know - Anything one man can imagine, other men can make real.

        • @OceanicDist: TA refers to this user.

      • Pretty much JV upside down and backwards ;7)

Just a heads up OceanicDist , the whirlpool review linked to on your website mentions they were on clearance for $99 6 months ago and $119 6 months before that.

Probably not something you want Ozbargainers finding so easily.

      • +1

        they were $99 on Dec 11, 2015 13:42:44 GMT

edit: OP has reduced them to $99 now.

      • +2

Wow, been trying to clear them for a year now. maybe you need to lower the price.
Or sell them out the back of a white van, and tell people they are normally $999.

back in my day, noone would dare call a 4" driver a woofer.

    • According to one of the replies, Poeces are more like faeces.

Couldnt find that there, typically positive feedback including addition to the hall of fame…

  • If you want anything with wireless audio I'd suggest trying to get products that support aptX Low Latency.
    http://www.aptx.com/products-low-latency/browse/categories

    • … get products that support aptX Low Latency.

Not much point - very few sources - no TVs and only one obscure tablet.

      • Fair enough, I guess the point I was trying to make is that aptX is a lot better than standard bluetooth for audio
The original aptX is still very good

Avantree Saturn Pro transmitter/receiver (got one for about $50 direct from Avantree on eBay), powered via USB so use it on my TV and PC
Works well with my Air-Fi Matrix2 AF62 Stereo Bluetooth Wireless Headphones

Went from a phone without it, to a HTC One M8 which supports aptX and music sounds a whole lot better.
Anyway worth looking out for bluetooth audio products that support one of these technologies.

  • Any chance for a deal on Swan M50W?

    • Unfortunately they are out of stock for a few weeks - best to check with your preferred online store to see if they have any left.

  • @moocher: Gee moocher better put those steak knives away. Bit heavy handed on the moderation of comments in this post.

    • Makes it hard to follow.

    • The comments that were referring to lack of information in the original revision of the deal were unpublished as 'resolved' after OP provided an update. There were some comments marked as off-topic but they are still visible by expansion. If there's any more info you need, feel free to TWAM.

Edit: Ah, I can see that the off-topic comments were under unpublished comments. I've now made the whole thread off-topic instead.

  • Bullshit sale.
Been this price for as long as I can possibly find.

  • Was $249 now just $99

    Lol!

    • and that was after OP changed it from $149!

  • +2

That was my post in the whirlpool review, for the Poeces #3. Still going great, and still happy at the price I paid $149, great desk speakers.

Note: the deal referred to for the #4's on whirlpool was for $119 - the $99 deal there was on the #3's. So the deal here is another $20 off. Cut the OP some slack, this is a good price on good speakers.

The #4's should be even better and I'm ordering a set (need more like a hole in my head, but … coz OzBargain). May be a bit to big for the desk, but am sure my teenagers will likely put them to use even if just driving by Bluetooth.

    • So the deal here is another $20 off

It's not. They were $99 last month.

      • +1

So they were reduced to $119 on special at the end of 2014, and they were on sale for $99 July 2015. And the sale they had last month, is the price that they are now running them out at? Is there a posting rule that the prices on ozB have to be the lowest they've ever been?

I think it's great that at the instigation of awesome ozB detectives like yourself, the OP has dropped the price to its lowest known.

        • And the sale they had last month, is the price that they are now running them out at?

Initially the rep posted them at $149 and claims "Was $249 now just $149". It was changed to $99 after we found out that it has been sold at $99 long before this 'sale'.

Is there a posting rule that the prices on ozB have to be the lowest they've ever been?

I'm not sure but in this instance there's dishonesty in the rep for claiming the speakers were discounted from $249 to $149, when in fact they have been $99 all along. And it's illegal to compare with RRP when in fact they have not been sold at RRP.

        • +1

@m9: Agreed. And you caught the rep out, they improved the price, and now we have a true ozBargain. The OP did say in his original comment that they added the bargain here after a customer suggested it to them, so I didn't expect that the deal was exclusive. Well done and ozBargaining them to a better price!

  • Post $15 to Newcastle, 1% fee for credit card.

  • Did anyone get some of these yet?

Pretty much exactly what I'm looking for but no photos of remote, or the inputs on the back on website and not much in the way of specs. Can anyone post a couple of photos? Maybe even @OceanDist ?

    • It has bluetooth, 3.5mm and RCA inputs. Happy to post a pic of the remote if I can work out how… Approx 10 sold in the last 2 days I believe.

  • +1

Thank you, I'll post the pics here for anyone else interested when I get them.
