We had 4 digit upvotes deals before, very rare!

Personally for me, I have had trouble finding deals through out Christmas, especially for a TV, and also for missing out on previous deals. Now just bought the Hitachi 65" from Bing Lee for $914, from a $1088 listed price.

    • +2

      Scotty didn't know.

  • +2

I didn't buy anything but called a friend that would be buying a new 60" TV. I just had to come in and give this a +

  • Looking for a great gaming keyboard, budget around $150 prefer non mechanical as mechanical are too loud! any suggestions?

    • IMO just get any comfortable keyboard. I bought a G110 and have never used any of the extra keys as they're just unnatural to use.
For most games, a QWERTY keyboard has everything you need (who needs more than WASD :P)

    • Get the soft mechanical switch

  • Wireless gaming headphones suggestions? Any1 with good experience with cheap wireless gaming headphone?

  • Good Guys set the LG 55EC930T to Out of Stock.

    Not so good guys….

Looks like u are very upset
Just sign up the account and made this comment.

    • Maybe they ran out of stock. #crazyideaiknow

      • Purchased a fridge from goodguys using this deal with click and collect after checking it out (and their mountains of stock) in the local store this morning….
…Just had the transaction reversed and the original listing changed to out of stock. BS!

  • Which mobiles have 4G Band 28 support? I recall a website that lets you filter, but could someone please post a link?

    Specific to me:
The Asus Zenfone2 ZE551ML phone is almost perfect for me — but it's a bit big. Are there any < 5" phones with identical specs? (Dual sim, > 2GB RAM, band 28 support)?

The Oneplus X is almost ideal, but it doesn't seem to have Band 28 support.

    Thanks for reading :)

    • Nexus 5X?

      • +1

that's over 5 inches, doesn't have greater the 2GB ram and not dual sim either. (according to Googles own site)
So doesn't help the person much really.

    • look through the MobileCiti listings, they seem to have decent prices atm. Maybe the oppo R7 but you need to check bands (they only list freq not bands).

  • Looking for a 4 burner gas stove + oven? any good deals? budget is around $500- 550, any suggestions?

  • Sigh bought a Dyson dc54 animal from the good guys yesterday…. $698 was a decent price but another $100 off would have been better… :(

    • Rumours on this forum proved true..thats why i held off on my purchase 😛

  • None of the phones are a sensational deal.

    • +3

Buy the lg g4. You wont regret it.

      • Which link?

      • Depending on what phone spy currently has, my G4's battery-life has been pretty pathetic… (still a good phone, but I need to charge it every few hrs)

        • My mate said the same.

        • what really? that sounds really bad

        • +1

Amen. G4 has terrible battery life.

I always have battery saver enabled but I am rarely getting a days use out of it.

        • +1

I've had mine now from the previous eBay deal a few months ago and don't have any battery issue whatsoever. I start from 7:00am and usually still have 40% around 6pm. Phone is mostly use for email/sms/hangouts, light browsing (Ozbargain). No youtube nor Facebook/Messenger. Brightness set to automatic. I am running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow though.

        • @sletts:

Agree with you 100 percent on the battery life… But its on fairly equal ground with battery life as all the other brands:

          http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/mobile-phones/1402071/best-ba…

I heard that the Snapdragon 820 chipset has twice the battery life.. That will be interesting when they release it in phones next year..

        • @imolared: I'm still on Lollipop, haven't got any update notification to 6.0 yet. I think in general Facebook uses a lot of battery, not sure if force closing would help with batterylife but I usually don't bother going into multitasking to close all apps. Other than that I mainly do the same as you, but paired with Android wear via bluetooth.

        • @clse945111:

Now this will be interesting, I picked up the Huawei Watch from this deal, let's see how much it drains the battery for the next week or two when I go through my normal daily work routine etc.

  • any feedback on this $99 portable aircon?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lenox-Portable-Evaporative-Air-Co…

    • +11

      evaporative cooler =/= air conditioner

      they are piss-weak. don't bother.

      • Damn was considering it. Any better alternatives?

        • +3

Yeah. A proper portable airconditioner. They cost around $300 and up. Browse around eBay for one if you want to utilise this deal through means of a gamble but personally I'd recommend just popping down to your local Bunnings and picking up the Mistral one for $350 - solid unit; have had one myself. If you do choose to buy one on eBay, get one from a reputable seller that won't sell TOTAL garbage.

          OR

$15 pedestal fan. Cheaper, does the job IMO (and I live in a hot place…).

        • Not sure - but Kogan ac is also an option. Cheapest out there, and not that bad. That's if you can bear kogan.

      • +1

I wouldn't go that far (though my experience is with ducted evap not a portable). It very much depends on your climate. It should be effective in drier climates such as Adelaide's but, I agree, it will be pretty much "piss-weak" in Sydney/Bris etc. Also, it's a little subjective. Some like it, some don't. Power bills are much less with evap but it doesn't get as cold. With evap you get fresh air and leave windows/sliding doors open, less so with refridge.

    • +3

its not a refridgerated air conditioner, it uses water to try and cool the air slightly (and in the same time making it more humid in the room. Dont buy one as they dont work (we had one when I was a kid)

Also is it possible to apply the Student discount on that as well?

    • cant find any surface books either unfortunately.

  • Any good deal on dishwasher? Thanks

  • S6 Question - which of the versions is best for AU? There's G920F, G920l, G920lzkasxsa, g9208, G920T all going on eBay for different prices. Looks like only G920lzkasxsa and G9208 have band 28. But the so-called Australian version (G920l) doesn't? Confused.

different model for different region. B28 is for 4GX which claimed by Telstra and Optus as FAST LTE network…

I think ebay deal most of G920F international version (No B28 compare with Au version G920I) G920T is for T-Mobile G920A is for AT&T, G9208 is for China

which one do you get from ebay?

      • All the ones I listed above: There's G920F, G920l, G920lzkasxsa, g9208, G920T
G9208 from QD - I think its a version for China but according to willmyphonework it has all the Australian bands incl. Band 28

  • any suggestions for a mirrorless SLR for a beginner? ~$700

    • With that budget (taking the 15% discount into account), look for Sony A6000 or Panasonic G7 in this deal.

Each one has it's own strengths and weaknesses but price-wise they fall in that range and they are decent. Good luck.

    • +3

FYI a mirrorless automatically means it's not an SLR. Around $700 the Sony A6000, Olympus has EM5 and EM10, and Panasonic GX7 and G7, they are all good. G7 is the only one that does 4K video hence I went with it. My mate has the A6000 it's really good also.

    • You can have mirrorless, or you can have an SLR.

    • +1

sony a6000 - get it with the link in the OP. you won't regeret it

    Broden is alive and well
    http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item…
    15 x Fitbit Charge HR's @ $105.3 a piece (x2 transactions?)

    • wonder what they will sell them for. or hope to sell them.

    • So max profit is $25 minus ebay fees of ~$13 (assuming reselling at $130 on ebay) minus $7.50 for postage. They must really be raking in the cash re-selling those…

      • Considering they are $229.95 RRP, I'm sure they'll find some non-ozbargainers to pay more than $130 each

        • +2

Maybe. Could just be someone stocking up on gifts, or for corporate prizes or something. Doesn't seem like there's a huge saving here since its just 15%. Even if you maxed out the discount to $600, you're unlikely to get $600 in profit reselling them when buyers can just go to Dick Smith, David Jones, Officeworks, Domayne etc, pay $130 and get warranty. I don't think anyone has been selling these close to the RRP of $230 for a while.

Just sayin' it's pretty hard to Broden all the deals because ebay put the 2 transaction limit in place (which is a good thing in many ways).

        • @MetalPhreak:
It's not "just 15%" as you put it, these are already reduced down to $130…

        • @MetalPhreak: Yeah its probably company gifts or something. No one would be stupid enough to try and sell them for profit. Not a very efficient way to make money.

        • @Orpheus:

If they were to sell each fitbit for $130 in their own store, they would make a profit of $292.50 for selling all 15. Sell them for $140 each, and they would make $442.50.

Not such a bad idea, but way too much effort selling all 15

        • @hoftos: If they had their own store, wouldnt they just get it cheaper from their supplier?

If they sold it on eBay for $130 each, ebay fees/paypal fees will bring it down to $5.85 profit. Thats $87.75 profit for all 15. Considering the time to organise and package and go to the post office and if anyone those 15 buyers have an issue with it and want to return it etc, that $87.75 is nothing. Better to just work a minimum wage job for a few hours and get the same pay with zero hassle.

        • @Orpheus: true. i have no idea

    • could be a scammer too with a stolen account

some prices already getting jacked up

  • Anyone stumbled across decent prices on midrange GPUs? GTX960 or R9 380 range? I've watchlisted one or two close-but-no-cigar offerings, nothing truly compelling. My 6970 isn't dying to be upgraded (the games I play anyway), but a cooler, quieter card that is also a tad quicker wouldn't hurt at this stage :)

    Any good router/modem? Under $200

  • LG G4 with extra battery pack from QD, so tempting.
I don't think there is a better phone out there for the price is there? (great camera, screen etc..)

    • Correct, so far the best 'budget' phone as it's released as the top-tier premium phone only months ago.

    • easy to get caught up I think…

I went to the store today to pick it up, and it's a great phone but just slightly too big to use well with one hand i think

    • Great phone. Only weakness is the battery life.

      • Yes I struggle to last a full day with this phone..

Manfrotto Carbon Fibre Tripod with ball head MK293C4-A0RC2, best price in australia is $299 and also a salesperson at Digidirect in Melbourne CBD offered me $300, however http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Manfrotto-MK293C4-A0RC2-290-Carbo…
