Food in the main dining room + the Pantry are all free.
There are also smaller 'special restaurants' on offer as well. Eg on the Jewel they have The Salt Grill by Luke Mangan … 3 course meal for $49 pp. of corse these are not essential and most/many ppl just stick with the free dining options mentioned above.
The "better" food is actually free, you just need to make a booking for Dinner. ;)

soft drink - you are allowed to bring 12 cans per person on board - given rooms have fridges, we will be doing that !
remember this cruise is a special comedy cruise, according to the P&O website, with "leading comedians"
I was on a 4 day P&O Sampler cruise recently ex Sydney on the Jewel - the comedians were excellent !

This is a one way cruise - the Pearl will be based in Auckland from 8 Feb 2015 onwards.
You would obviously need to make your own arrangements back to Australia at the end of this cruise (8 Feb)
Booked this last week - Deck 11 large room with balcony for about $590
The ONLY issue I have with this cruise is … Auckland.
You can forget about reasonably priced accommodation in Auckland IF you wish to stay on for a few more days.
Most reasonably priced hotels ($150-200 per night) are GONE give that the NRL 9s is on for that weekend (now… P&O have labelled this the NRL 9s cruise (oh and Comedy)
We have ended up just arriving on the Thursday - and flying out using QFF points.
But we are looking forward to it !!

Still a good deal for those who can use it. We booked a few cabins yesterday for some Kiwi families going home for a visit - they were VERY happy with the deal!
