Was just looking this up for the Optus deal lol it's the same price @ Officeworks, DS and HN

    • DS deal same price

      • Echo…? ;)

        • Current DS deal at same price was posted on 17th.
Handy to read discussions, rather than repeat here.

  • Will the sim activate under current 5gb freedom deal ?

  • when i activated my mf90 last week, i got 2.95gb instead of 2gb as stated.

    • me too. says 3gb. but i m pretty sure…. after 2gb usage, it says no more data available.

  • I bought one of these and they're not great. Much prefer the MF91 despite less speed. The screen on the MF91 makes it easier to monitor what's going on,particularly usage.

    • What's not great about them, other than the screen?

      • Mine is no better than my existing MF91 for reception or battery life, so a complete waste for me. If you don't own one, go for it. But realize you won't even know how strong the signal is by looking at the unit. You have to open up a web browser on a connected device and go to the admin page for that.

        • Yeah that's the same with my 3G unit.

You want one with a nice screen, you're going to have to pay more.

        • @lostn:

My MF91 was $50 so nearly double but also came with 5GB.

Just bought the Telstra Buzz 4GX phone to use as modem & phone.
$63.20 delivered with free Monster DNA on-ear headphones @Telstra online.

Yes it's dearer, but after years of using dedicated Pocket WiFi devices like the MF91, I prefer using a phone & use it for internet rather than pc. Currently using a $40 4G Huawei Y550.

The greater speed and the bonus 5GB data offer & free headphones (some report HN sell for $129) is probably worth the extra expense.
