First time poster, long time lurker.

No coupon code required with "Free standard shipping to Australia metropolitan areas". Did some digging and it is a minimal extra price for those outside the metro area.

The lowest priced Nexus 5X and by quite a margin (next closest is Kogan with 599 + Shipping).
The phone was only released on the 3rd of November (11 Days ago) at $659.00 via Google - not a bad price by any means.

      I bought a G4 and felt exactly the same way, until I downloaded Google Now on the app store which overwrites most of the shitty LG skin. It feels much more like a stock nexus device now except with all the added benefits the G4 brings.

        Yeah this I a what I have, only I am using the nova launcher. Found that the Google now was really laggy. Also makes me think that if I am turning this phone into something it's not might as well just get a nexus

      I'm considering doing the same thing, as much as I love the G4 with Nova installed. Thought 5.5" would be more comfy in the hand (and it is, compared to the Note) but still itching for a smaller phone and the full vanilla experience. Dat price doe :(

  I prefer the G4 for now. Maybe in 12 months when the G4 is abandoned and the nexus still get updates.

    Software wise I prefer LG. It's just a pity that you know they won't keep up with Google for updates. Especially once the phone gets a generation behind. Nexus phone you guaranteed 3 years of updates. Should be the same with all Android phones.

  16GB is nowhere near enough storage space these days for a Nexus device with no microSD slot.
  It really should be 32GB minimum.

    nexus 5 - released 2 years ago
    nexus 6 - released a year ago.
    nexus 5x/6P - released last week.
