Don't think the current Nano actually has 2GB. You do loose out on video and a nice 320x240 screen.
I think it is still a good deal though as a brand new Shuffle 1GB would be $99.
Yeah, the current one is 3rd generation.
2nd generation is similar to 1st but with a few differences.

What exactly does refurbished mean? Are they second hand or are they older pieces of equipment that have been added to?
They are second hand, which have had the problem fixed (whatever it might have been) to return it to a like new state.
Has anyone ever bought a refurbished item from Apple Store? Can anyone comment on the quality & also battery life? Thanks!
