Free with a condition is still free, technically. Either way their point and message is clear. "Buy one get one free" is one of the most popular terms used. It's simply another way to advertise a deal. People who were going to get a 6 inch sub on that day are still going to save money and get a drink which they may not otherwise have gotten.
'Customer Appreciation Day'? No neg on this deal but rather than a free half roll with an overpriced drink, I'd prefer it if the Shahin family, the biggest fuel retailer in SA, including On the Run and all of SA's BP stations, gave it's customers a decent break on fuel prices instead of being one of the first to raise and the last to lower prices.
Now that's what I would call 'customer appreciation'!
Or actually have "supermarket value" that they ckain when they are in fact more expensive then other service statins for 85% of the products

and all of SA's BP stations
Not all.
They had to off load a few sites to other companies (AM/PM comes to mind).
But I refuse to go to OTR/Krispy Kreme SA: underpaid workers, overworking, greedy owners etc.Am/pm is owned by frank agostino (last time i knew at least) he's only rebranded all his stores to stand out from OTR, he only gained one that i know of from OTR (henly beach/south rd one) when BP australia sold up and walked away from fuel retail in SA in 2014
Will it include mayo at the edge?
When I first read the title of the post I thought free 6" subwoofer.
LOL. Subway's soft drinks must be pretty awful to have to through in $100's of dollars.
thanks :-) free lunch on friday!
Its not "free" if you have to pay. Don't be gullible.
Didn't the ACCC crack down on that bullshite?
