So what is the bargain? You just reduced the deposit required???

    • +1

hi @jv - there are in fact 3 parts to this "bargain"

      • $511 pp is the cheapest advertised price in the market atm.
      • $100 bonus Onboard Credit (OBC).
      • 50% Reduced Deposit.

      Cheers.

  • Any chance of an upgrade to a window?

    • hi @anna10 - Oceanview cabins on this cruise start at $563 pp for a Quad Share (category "OI").

The bonus OBC and Reduced Deposit offer applies to all cabins on this cruise.

There are also some good prices for Twin and Triple cabins as well:

      Cheers.

    • If you are looking at a window, might want to consider Ozcruising as well, it's $550 a person

      • hi @AG_ACT - I just checked, the ozcruising cabin (category: "OI") you mentioned does not include any OBC. So when you factor in our $50 OBC for that particular cabin, our's is the exact same price.

But as far as rock-bottom, 'cheap as it gets' cabins on this particular cruise (which seems to be what most of the punters here on OzBargain are msg'ing me about), the Inside cabin (code: ID) mentioned in my post is definitely the cheapest.

        Cheers.

What's a 50% reduced deposit? Pay less deposit which just results in a higher balance to pay?

    • hi @pmupsinep - correct. It's actually a big selling point for a lot of cruising clients, and one that the cruise companies offer fairly regularly as part of their promotions to attract customers. It particularly appeals to those cruise clients who may not have the full deposit required at they time they purchase their ticket. In this way, they can just pay a small(er)/reduced deposit upfront to secure the promotional price, and pay the balance later when they do have the funds available.

      Cheers.

The cruise is in 3 weeks. If anyone needs to defer half the deposit payment so close to departure date they wouldn't be spending money on cruises in the first place.

        • @pmupsinep - generally, yes you would be correct. But, it is often is a factor for people on low incomes, pensioners, government assistance, people waiting on money to come through for whatever reason etc.

          Cheers.
